It knows me so well! I only have a couple friends and when I see random people I don’t talk to them unless they are hurt. I heal them then continue on with my quest.
Oh and I’m a druid in case you are colorblind or can’t see the druid name
There are a myriad versions of Introverts. We are all still fundamentally individuals…which is where this whole label if you want to call it that is thrown into disarray. People want to take it at face value and say “Hey it’s not perfect, therefore it’s incorrect”(of the MBTI scale itself that is), The problem isn’t the indicator, it’s the fact they took it verbatim. That’s the real issue.(Talking at your co-workers, etc.)
And of course being individuals means we are all different, which also means we will never ever fit into assigned labels / boxes etc.
And that goes for almost any label really.
Personally as an Introvert I talk a lot in voice chat on game etc. Get me in the real world it’s another story. I have a tendency to not be so open, especially about personal thoughts etc. The other half to that is being who I am, I also withdraw rather quickly and quietly seeking solitude to recharge. That’s my true Introverted self.
I have friends who I’d consider extraverts who enjoy playing support roles. Which you wouldn’t think that an extravert would gravitate toward. You’d think extraverts would gravitate toward melee toons or tanks. Out front, large, and in charge!
So its hard to really find any connection between the personality type and the spec they play. Because for every person that meets a preconceived notion about personality type matching their spec there are probably 3-5 people that go against the grain.
I’m an introvert, and depending on my mood, I’ll play anything from a Death Knight (out front and killing mobs en masse) to a Hunter who sits back and quietly kills mobs while Fluffy is out front taking the beating.
And no one was talking to you either? I was clearly replying to some else.
Apparently Quadriceps did and a bunch of other people did too, including now yourself.
But you’re right about one thing, none of them were using anything remotely intellectual as their argument apart from the “I like it therefore it’s not junk science” appeal.
It wouldn’t exactly be expected on a forum that is for World of Warcraft. People might be willing to debate such concepts in depth in a place like Kialo or r/psychology however majority of people aren’t coming to WoW forums for an intellectual debate on testing personality therefore they aren’t going to partake in the debate in anything past a baseline level.
A few people did offer some objective conjectures however most people are just going to brush the topic off without really proving their premise for a debate is a lengthy process that many people can’t be bothered with.
It’s been a looooooooooooooooooong time since I’ve taken the test and but when I did, I was ENTP. I also play gnomes of every class a gnome can be, but predominantly Warlock, Priest, and Mage.
INFJ - T (Monk)
Ever since Monk came out it has been either what I main or fall back on. Runner ups are Paladin>DH>DK (In terms of fantasy). I guess my whole shtick is “Fighter with magic”. I’m a Paladin/Cleric according to the easydamus DnD quiz.
So if I could custom tailor my own class it would be either weapon/shield or staff in chainmail with either life or holy magic with a “patient” rotation like monks have where you cant spam 1 thing back to back. Oh man that idea makes me feel giddy but it will never exist!
…maybe I just play ret paladin with a lax transmog and a polearm…
This warlock was an experiment and man I just can’t not be melee. But I like using the name and race as my forum persona :^)
