What is wows most neglected class

Right, but i hardly see this as an argument against the idea of having both options

You are not going to lose “a ton”, is literally an option to have a permanent weaker pet or the normal one to summon powerful ones. Adding not removing nor changing.

Doesn’t? i mainly play frost with 2h

Its fine if DW is better and people play that in high end content, same can be done with shaman, this way people don’t lose anything and people who like it can toy with it

I play pet classes all the time and I never have a problem with their AI. in the old days, sure. but not know.

and no, I don’t play hunter.

Feral, specifically.

I do not want a pet and I don’t know why anyone would.

You are asking for a revamped tree that would be based around a perm pet.

That means losing current talents.

A huge DK complaint is how the dw option is not working out.

Plenty of times in m+.

“my pet is just standing there”

“my pet pulled that”

“hold on, gotta dismiss my pet so it doesnt pull for this part”

So far, the frost changes have done next to nothing to address the issues it has, they are just adding new capstones which are auto attack, and frost strike based, both of which don’t really do anything to power up either of those 2 things.

Those days are long over man, but in the old days i would dismiss my pet when doing shortcuts, but a lot has changed too.

Its really not.

It happens today in m+.

in what dungeon? I know lock shortcuts even and my pet would come with me. But even if not, its not a big deal, its just something to learn.

Also for the class fantasy it would be bomb for elemental.

Those days aren’t long over. Pets have a reduced aggro radius but it’s not 0 and you don’t get to choose their pathing when jumping down from things. Sometimes they stay with you, sometimes they snap to you but sometimes they run through stuff and will pull. Sometimes they completely get stuck and you have to dismiss and recall them.

Not to mention they constantly bug out during combat, I have a weak aura that tracks and alerts me when they are bugging out. Want to do any cheeky tech in higher keys? Like hopping on certain spots where mobs won’t target you, well your pet isn’t a fan of that and will stop responding to commands so you better learn to use stay and follow frequently.

Can you work around it? Yes. Would I prefer not to have to? Yes. Is Askton perfectly justified in not wanting to deal with that crap? Yup.

Its always people not playing elemental, enhance, etc that want to radically change it away from what people currently playing elemental/enhance like.

I used to play shaman and I am currently playing resto as we speak.

Yes, your alt.

My point is that a perm pet option would be required to shake up the shaman talent trees, rotation, playstyle, etc.

Its easy to suggest it when its an alt.

Now is the perfect time to make any radical changes, considering they are all the time currently since its still fresh in the oven.

And don’t give me this alt crap, I mained it through hard time and bitzhed a storm in the past about it.

Thats kinda a moot point, cause we got revamped tree each expansion, we are even gaining one brand new tree right now for the upcoming one, so nothing would be lost, but would be added upon/give the choice.

Its not like 100% of the stuff in the tree is necessary or needed in the tree, some things can easily be integrated into the class itself.

Rly now, i remember reading DW was superior still and 2h was a meme build, how things changed in the past year.

But the original idea was giving the option, so he would not rly need to deal with it if he didn’t want to.

I guess the biggest fear is if the elemental pet end up being a better build and people see it as obligatory

Id have to disagree 2h wf was iconic and every other day people on forums both eu and us, ask for 2h to return. Im sure they could work it out or somebody in the community already has. At the end of the day doing nothing at all has left a sour taste in the shaman community.

Replace DK with Hunter or add Hunter to the list and yeah, definitely. Monk and Shaman were fighting for last place for awhile, now I feel like Shaman and Hunter are down there.

After reading through this thread it would seem hunters are up there.

I would say Druids need a lot more dev attention. The other classes are getting plenty of effort considering they are side-classes. I think some attention needs to be diverted from the side-classes and put into the main campaign of the game.

I’d say mage just because it’s the one I play the most by far and I’m the main character of the universe.

It’s not mages, though. Maybe hunters?
