Brewa hard trolls faction topics with a bunch of nonsense. It’s best to either ignore him or block him.
God yes.
Merc mode is a terrible thing. Make horde have long queue times and watch a few come over to alliance. The leeches will always stay horde.
Another point. Merging factions would be cool and the story could still have faction and race wars in some zones.
Have some zones where orc and humans are fighting it out. Even if in same guild, if they enter that zone, they become hostile. Other races in those zone would need to right click their toon and select join Orcs or join humans.
Another area may have Nelf and Trolls in an argument.
I see you point, but those are factions not based on Horde or Alliance and are unique to the stories at those time. What would happen ,which we would have to question this ,will us deleting the main faction have a spill over to these down the line and have to redo them? I would hope not ,no one want to do 50 reputations all over again.
There are relatively few endgame-minded individuals on Alliance.
Horde just has a lot more options across all content levels.
What he posts is generally right, though? Perhaps he’s just posting things you refuse to accept, so you attempt to dismiss him as a “troll” despite being a Vulpera.
Only problem I have for BG are rated Bg because many people went Horde but always find New people to play in casual PvP I win way more than I lose so I’m pretty happy about it.
That both sides work with. That’s the point. We ALL work with them. Not just one or the other works with them, all of us do. We fight the same bosses in the same raid to get rid of the same evil. If we’re collaborating with the same people to do these same things, then there’s no reason we can’t do it together, if we choose.
I think what some may forget is that this is a choice. If people don’t want to list their group cross faction or their guild or bring in cross faction, they don’t have to. Others will. And that’s okay!
Yes,it is a choice and a big one with the game,so i question it,if we are in one faction and delete it would these reps be as well deleted and have to be done over again. Given the past rep means nothing especially loremaster when they took it out.
Let’s be honest. If they do switch grouping to cross-faction (and they 100% should imo) and then at some point they switch it back people are going to be rightfully upset. If half your raid team is suddenly on a different faction and you can’t play with them anymore… that’s not going to end well.
I’m not talking about outright removing factions, though. Just cross faction play for dungeons and raids. Those reps don’t change.
LOL I most certainly would not want to do that.
For the record, I don’t want anything deleted. I’ve honestly felt we can have faction pride and not be at each others throats. Maybe treat BGs and arena as a form of war games. Maybe we just need a version of the United Nations for the player character to be part of. lol
It’s a lot to think about.hmm united nations ,Azeroth?
They should just make the other faction neutral, and require you to wear a tabbard if you want the rep. The only battleground that I can think of with race rep is AV, so I would be fine with just removing the IF and Org rep from that. Or we would need to select horde, alliance or neutral when queuing up.
There are plenty of neutral factions on Azeroth, who seek to do good, so it’s possible. I personally RP my dwarf paladin is part of a group that’s best described as the Red Cross.
I think they should implement it by allowing cross-faction grouping, but not dissolving the factions.
So you can group up even out in the world (except in warmode), however, you can not do quests tagged as Alliance if you’re horde or vice versa. You will also be attacked on sight by the other factions’ guards as is the standard now, but it allows you to do neutral quests and work together out in the world, also all instanced content including mythic raids and M+ should be cross-faction as well.
This way you keep the factions in-game, and make it more in line of what we see, we don’t see humans in Orgrimmar or Orcs in Stormwind or have a night elf take part in the torching of Teldrassil, but we can team up fighting the really big bads.
And keep the option of doing factional stories.
I wonder if you could accomplish some of this with a neutral faction that doesn’t feel they have a large stake in the historical animosities of the Horde/Alliance (sort of like the Pandarians) .
It goes beyond open world content, the Alliance as a whole is severely hurting in terms of instanced content. Compared to the Horde.
Which is why some are asking for either the rid of factions entirely, or for some / majority of instanced content to ignore factions all together.
I would love to see Blizzard try to improve the Alliance to avoid these issues all together, but seeing how long it’s been going on. I doubt they very much care at this point.
You mean a third faction? that can play both sides well i guess that would be interesting never know maybe the dragon isles would be that.
perhaps you should try playing alliance at end-game (high m+ keys, mythic raiding) then come back and talk to us.
Its hard to think of reasons to hate the Horde as a whole anymore. Factions seem almost out of place. Shouldn’t there be more division?
You know what? Screw this. I’m gonna start my own faction, with blackjack and [censored].
Ironically this still exist in GW2 but isn’t forced on the players like it is in WoW. Humans and the Charr absolutely hate each other and were at constant war over Ascalon for over a millennia but this isn’t relevant outside of story, scenarios and RP purposes. The two races can still group and play together.
Then you have a more extreme case like the Asuran who hate everyone including people of the same race lol. Once again not relevant outside of story and RP purposes.
I think games like Gw2 and ESO handle the faction conflict really well.
