I guess Earthen don’t poop, so, unplayable.
I imagine the Arathi have plumbing as well, since they’ve got airships and the undersea ocean is right there.

Yeah, anyone that says the puppet master isn’t just as dark as anything that’s ever been in WOW obviously hasn’t played the story. Lots of people talking about the story, then admitting they haven’t played it.
Another couple brief but omg ones. The nerubian who has PTSD and is scared of humanoids because they make him think of being dismembered. The people who get thrown into the spider cave and don’t make it out despite you helping.

First and foremost, I didn’t come up with the term “gritty”; it was used by the OP. So, address it to the OP. I prefered the term dark.
Second, communication is primarily about understanding the main message that someone wishes to convey. And this is abundantly clear when you read the OP’s entire post rather than focusing on a single, potentially misused term.

Spiders (or crabs if you prefer) definitely poop! Pretty sure Arathi do too, maybe it’s light-based poop but they cook, they eat, it’s gotta go somewhere.

Nothing, just it took til then to actually feel grimdarkish. And even then most would put BFA as new WoW
I’m not arachnophobic…I think spiders are a little gross but not to the point where it bothers me. The giant spider in that cave almost had me turn arachnophobia mode on though. Not quite, I got through it. But wow it was creepy. I don’t understand why because it’s the same model as a bunch of other spiders and even a mount you get from the Weaver.
I think it’s because of the smoke/particle effects they had around it.

My sister and her unemployed husband had the same idea a few years ago.
It’s uh…it’s not going well.
I went to check out a Warhammer store that opened up nearby, they had an event with people showing off armies, was neat.
Spent some time browsing and it was more like 60 bucks for 5 minis.
Just coward talk because you don’t want to call your fancy silk shirt a poop shirt.
