What exactly do people want from delves?

Of course it does. Endgame means, the stuff at the end of the game. The content and drops that are the highest in the season.
Blizzard said Delves would be this, and Delves are not this. In fact we have Ion being quoted by the press talking about how he sees Delvers “transitioning” into M+.
Ion was saying quite clearly there that Delves are not endgame. Which contradicts the promise Blizzard made.
Personally I choose to give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt and assume that this wasn’t some kind of deceptive advertising, they just haven’t figured out yet how to make Delves that are challenging enough to merit dropping Hero/Myth, and once they do, they’ll patch those in, at which point it will in fact be an endgame pillar.

Means anything at the end of the game yeah, doesn’t mean the max. It’s like when you say a cat is a dog because they both have 4 paws. Normal raid is endgame content is it not? It doesn’t drop max ilvl.

And delves had been known to not drop myth track from the beginning, and it’s easy to know why with the mage tower and visions solo nightmare.

I’m getting exactly what I want from delves: a low stakes challenge that I can walk away from if my husband or cats need something.

Please fix the crest system, however. So dumb to get gear in a delve that you can’t really upgrade.

Idc about the gear as much as I want there to be more to them when it comes to rewards. Maybe add some rare cosmetics and mounts in the chest at the end.

Personally, wouldn’t mind a handful of 1% mounts or cosmetics to chase but, maybe that’s just me.

You can, by trading 90 for 15, it’s supposed to take a long time or be able to bridge the gap when you participate in content that drops gilded.

did you ever consider the fact that someone might just want to play the game and their class for the sake of it and not have it tied to a party or any form of progression?

They never made this promise.

They went out of their way to constantly state delves would not give the highest rewards.

Right now, there is no added reward for delves above 8. Higher level delves could add the higher level gear in the vault with almost no difficulty for Blizz. In fact, I wonder whether that it what they have in mind for the future of those levels.

Last I checked you could bring all your gear up to 619 hero. Without touching heroic raids or mplus Which is way higher than what casual solo play got in dragonflight or any other time in the history of wow.

Now why in God’s name should a braindead solo gameplay mode get more than what alot of people consider absurdly strong and intro level to start literally heroic and even mythic raiding or running +10s mythic plus?

I would like a bunch of powerups like we had in Torghast.

Torghast was a bad system, but those powerups could make it feel damn fun from time to time.

the current powerups you find are… boring and half the time nonsense that doesn’t really help

I complete the Delves vault (3 options) every week.
I complete the M+ vault from 8 to 10 every week.

  • Delves: I ended up being Battlenet friends with 5 people from other countries that I chat with daily. Got good “hero” equipment. The players greet when they enter and leave, and if you played well someone tells you. If you delay they will wait for you.
    I haven’t read a single insult in the chat. None quit.
  • M+: Most don’t even respond “hi”. It seems that summoning is frowned upon. Very few speak, and if they do it is to criticize something you did. Some quit and I wasted my time and gold.
    I just hope they leave the delves alone, because it’s the only non-toxic place in the game with other players. It is a breath of fresh air in the rarefied air that (Thank God!!!) does not have a website that says what is right and wrong, assigns numbers to the players, positions in a rank, and everything they do to make money at our expense. All those websites and addons are larvae of our game that also poison you with their data.
