For starters how about proper scaling and balancing.
Honestly I just want Brann to stay the hell out of my way
I get the impression you didnât actually do the math here.
If we were hard limited to 10 maps per week we still wouldnât be able to cap our hero gear before the end of the season.
rn most of us are getting around 1 map a month
Donât ever recall that being the narrative in the first place, Delves not the one demanding loot nerfs.
What?
In addition to 3 Guilded Crests for completing a Bountiful Delve 10
A âBran go stand over there and do nothing for ten secondsâ button. Useful for setting up my pulls and clicking on stuff.
I just want a reliable way for delves to drop highest upgrade crest.I donât mind if they increase the difficulty or drop only 2-3 crests per tier 11 delve.
Having bountiful maps be the only source of getting Gilded crest from delves is stupid IMO.I play M+ more than delves but i would still like delves to be completely self sufficient gearing wise.
It should be on par with M+. If you manage to finish an 8 delve (even with no lives left) you should get a mythic raid track item in your vault.
Doubt thatâs gonna happen but when TWW is chrome time, youâll get that.
8 delves are easier than even m+4âŚ
Delves are currently the most rewarding difficulty:reward ratio
So if you want parity, the others need buffed or delves nerfed lol
Delves, being a âpillarâ, have a fundamental problem thatâs hard for me to get past: WoW doesnât become more fun for me when the combat gets harder.
Larger health pools, less forgiving mechanics and dps races of attrition requiring more exacting min-maxing just become tedious. I am willing to go a little outside my comfort zone now and then for rewards that will make the rest of the game easier, but when that content treadmill threatens to become the main activity of my endgame, it becomes more exhausting than entertaining.
So any discussions about how rewarding high end delves should be or how hard they should be is sort of a dead end for me. For me, the long term of delves is about whether the tier 1s have something interesting about them (without turning into endless repetitive speed runs for low % drops), not whatâs going on in tier 8-11s.
For special delve maps, rather an extra chest with high ilvl gear, Iâd prefer something like a map to a mine/garden delve: no combat, no treasure chests, just a vein of 50+ mining nodes or a forest of herb nodes, or a mass of rare fishing pools. Those are the sorts of rewards Iâd be interested in.
- Implement the remaining Delve tiers with Bountiful Delves giving Hero track in Coffers + Myth in the Vault. This is mandatory if theyâre serious about their statement that Delves is, I quote, a new âendgame pillar.â Content difficulty on tier 8 and below doesnât need to change. No oneâs going to complain that anything above tier 8 is hard, any more than they already complain about high key Mythics being hardâŚ
- Rebalance Coffer Keys/Bountiful Chests, theyâre too easy to get. The braindead way is just to make the item drop not be guaranteed, maybe thereâs a chance you get Crests instead. Alternatively or in addition, Coffer Keys should be much rarer, they and everything related to getting them became obsolete content 2 weeks into the season.
Thatâs all they need to do really. Itâs not complicated in principle. But increasing Delve difficulty in a viable and interesting way will be tough for them in execution
Endgame pillar has never meant max gear.
Keys arenât an issue, although allowing players to stack keys before the season opened was a mistake.
RNG keys would be a step backwards - the chest loot is already RNG with a bloated table full of junk, adding more RNG would just turn off more players.
Increased crests as rewards (both number of and track for the highest delves) could be a way to improve the feel of solo progression within delves without devaluing other content or trying to create similar challenges for solo play, but myth gear is probably too much.
A unique tag of 5 would have done the trick. Respects what you can easily weekly and keeps you from hoarding at the start of the expansion. Even though 5 a week is already too much.

Youâre talking as if the developers of the game are unable to alter the loot tables, which of course they can. The slot in the Bountiful Coffer which currently drops a guaranteed piece of gear could simply have X% chance of dropping a piece of gear, and Y% chance of dropping Z crests, where X+Y=100, Iâll leave the rest of the numbers to Blizzard. This way the Bountiful reward is always good, itâs just not âan entire higher track itemâ good every time.
If you want to get fancy, increase X and Z every delve tier until you move into the next item/crest track, at which part they start at lower numbers again. That would provide a continual incentive to move up to the next tier of delve, no matter what tier youâre currently on. This also solves the current issue that nobody really bothers with anything above T8.
This would be a huge W for me for more than one reason.
I want delves to be a bit more like horrific visions/brawlerâs guild in terms of gameplay and have a gear cap of hero track on a weekly cooldown on a system similar to horrific vision masks. Bonus points for using torghast gameplay since anima powers were cool, but I doubt its feasible. Delves being full of health sponges and bolts is not ideal.
Also make the weekly zekvir kill count for the weekly you cowards. Having it happen just once would give a gear incentive for learning the fight without overwriting the value of other delves, which were only being dodged by doing zekvir in the first place due to the time to value of time spent equation being low in the first place.
Having one delve piece that is set to go to myth, just one also wouldnât be too bad once again just like horrific visions with its cloak, in fact a cloak or neck would be ideal since we can get them off the loot table for the vault which low key was one of the best parts of bfa.
Casual play has gone from veteran to hero gear at the max with the induction of delves but I guess they want myth? Heh
Uh⌠no? Just put the higher rewards on the higher difficulties. That would be great.
What solo runners at the start of TWW complained about wasnât the difficulty itself, but the ridiculous RNG and comically unbalanced and bad design of unavoidable damage.
Yes please. Make it a display of skill and the ability to think tactical, not just a game of luck where the boss throws several abilities at you that hit for half of your health without a chance to avoid it.
