I myself think I am just going to quit. I slept on it and it isn’t due to the dungeon finder. From what I have seen from the “classic comminity” I dont’ feel right playing this game anymore. I feel like I am not welcome because of my playstyle and my life commitmets. And because of this they turn to tactics to try and passivly aggrasive or aggasivly get me to leave and stop poulting their game.
I love World of Warcraft. I have been playing it non stop seince the orginal TBC. I don’t like that suddenly that as a casual player with time commitments and a business I am trying to get started that I don’t feel welcome by the comminity. If this is the path they want to go down then it is a good thing Elden Ring came out recently so I have a great, oh goodness great game to fall back on. This tarnished shall seak the Elden Ring mutiple times as it is better than haveing to prove my point as to why I “deserve” to play this game.

Don’t quit over reading things on the forums. Most people aren’t like this. Many forum posts are intentionally inflammatory simply for entertainment reasons. Best thing you can do is not read forums for a while and you will probably enjoy the game more.
If you check the wrath announcement on the website it makes no mention of achievements. It is only the link from the launcher that does.
Blizzard on twitter yesterday said they wanted a place for the very people who are making a point to tell people to leave the game if they can’t comform to the classic way of thinking.
I just. . . I just can’t deal with this. I am not playing a game if I am going to be told how I should or shouldn’t play the game. And if I don’t follow the strick guildlines I am spit on for it. It is too much for my anxiety.
while you’re right absolutely on every account there; they are handling this wrong.
IMO they needed to compromise and offer the auto grouping feature without the teleport to dungeon.
additionally they should have also said Local server only.
Additionally certain dead realms that will be merged to make a complete realm, so that the game plays correctly.
and for the dumpster that are servers like Farlina and Benediction; make it possible for horde and alliance to PvE together ONLY after zoning into a dungeon together via the system.
OR break servers like Bene and Farlina into 8 servers based on friends and guild lists, to make them PvP realms once again.
as for the “I paid for X transfer” yeah you did; for Vanilla or TBC, and those are both different games entirely from Wrath.
They going to change the raids too?
I really don’t understand this argument though… like all you’re saying is “instead of convenience lets make 2 people go to the dungeon”
It would be like nerfing Dual Spec to only in rested areas, not solve anything but add annoyance.

If they wanted to cut something it could have been boosts and heirlooms, the things actually bad for the game. But instead they want to ransom dungeongroups behind realm transfers, AGAIN.
Eh, i wouldn’t say Heirlooms are bad for the game. If you’ve gotten enough badges to get heirlooms you’ve basically seen the whole game.
Paid boosts sure.

if I had my druthers there would be no summoning stones; reason being is that it put warlocks out of a job, and it undermines the component of the game that is travel.
Not everything should be convenient and easy.
Not saying that the lack of a group finder is good tho, I do feel it something that WoW ought to have.
I mean, in wrath we can summon INTO dungeons, so I really don’t say it put me out of a job.

no, i think you’re missing the point, all removing teleporting would do is inconvenience 2 people. Or just have everyone point their flying mounts that way and go afk.
There’s nothing really that “immersive” about going to a dungeon in wrath.
