Except I won’t bother since the reward I sought was doing the dungeon itself
That’s just wasted time, might as well not look for dungeons at all if there’s not going to be another one which is why LFD is so good for leveling. Doesn’t matter if exp is better going 10-70, dungeon loot is generally better than questing items/BoE’s and heirlooms only go into so many slots.
Good for you…
he said he enjoys spending his idle time doing LFD on his alts, pretty sure that just means he just spams dungeons. Of course you do nothing to get into a dungeon with LFD I though LFD was well understood.\
Wrong, I got to 70 in literally 2 days. Questing isn’t faster.
Right, and the official announcements we lack are for /gestures-broadly everything else. Up until yesterday LFD was expected and in the game, until it wasn’t. Dual Spec wasn’t even mentioned in an announcement but in Birmingham’s Twitter feed. The overall theme of the changes wasn’t announced officially, but was buried in an off-hand comment about Cataclysm in an IGN interview.
I didn’t realize the context of your statement being related to idle time in real life versus in game. I apologize on that, and that was my misinterpretation of what you said originally.
That being said, you continue to say things such as calling me a spoon or troll. When legitimately I don’t agree with you on a foundational level of Classic needing LFD.
Just because you want that convenience in the game to get max level characters. That isn’t justification to implement it into classic.
Work for your Alts to be max level or don’t. That’s ultimately your choice. Convenience is irrelevant as it isn’t a necessity. You want the game to be easier, and a lot of people don’t as that is what began the slippery slope of retails downfall.
If you need LFD to form a dungeon group then I’m happy to explain that you can do dungeons with out LFD. Really what you mean to say is you want the convenience of the dungeon tool or don’t want to transfer to a populated realm.
Because you keep skipping over what I read to just call me lazy, don’t act wounded now.
Never said I did. I just won’t bother manually forming them at all.
“Just pay more money to fix your problem!”
Yeah I’m done here.
I want to do Mana Tombs for the Alchemy recipe there but it’s run only when it’s the daily so I’ve just given up on it entirely. I’ve spent so long trying to get a group for it and they never start.
I’m just gonna wait til WotLK to solo the dungeon.
all the boots money blizzard lost due to no lfd…lol.
No one in this world can read your message and not interpret it as laziness. That’s just what it is, if the bottom line truly is the dungeons that you enjoy. You would form a group. Yet you just stated you don’t want to form the groups, but would whole heartedly welcome the LFD tool as that would facilitate an act that you would not otherwise do without it.
That’s just the definition of your actions. I don’t mean it offensively or to hurt you, I’m not trying to call you names like you’re calling me names. I’m sorry you’re taking this reality so harshly, but I think you would enjoy a game more like retail than playing classic.
I will never defend .0 of BFA or SL… both hot garbage.
But JAB is gone, blizzard has gone through big changes the last 18 months.
Future is a bit more promising in 9.2 and beyond. Just my opinion.
Their communication is straight up trash. Honestly, if anyone should be banned from using Twitter; its blizzard and their employees. They should instead do all official communication via this forum with complete bulleted details of what to expect and roughly when.
instead we get less actual facts than were given in the old soviet union while being told basically “its for the best comrade; trust us and our incredibly vague interviews”
To that I say hell no, because i see how those changes worked out for Arena, for how many bugs still arent fixes in TBC and will bever be fixed because they are more interested in what appears to be make believe “Im a game designer” role for a re- release of an old game.
I will personally be OK with or without LFD, or any of those feature, I personally dislike them, and dont use them because of the behavior they often promote, BUT I also am wise enough to know this game is not an experiment to test things out for retail, but instead a way to play the old game and also why some show up.
im just rambling and pissed off because they screwed up PvP, but I dont want their bad judgment to also scew up PVE.
Open Battle.net launcher. Go to WoW Classic. Click on the first article. Scroll down and the fourth bullet point is “Achievements Unlocked – Achievements are coming to WoW Classic, giving players new rewards for their exploits and accomplishments.”
which didn’t even exist til today.
Yesterday in their stream, and the trailer, and their post on their gd website - no mention of achievement.
But today in the launcher there it is. Then again we had several features advertised to us, and even put on the box only to be removed last minute in 2009
I see what you’re saying, but I don’t see why the absence of dungeon finder is cause for worry about this many other features. I think it’s presence in Wrath Classic should always have been a “maybe” at best, if we’re to take its role in original Wrath into account. I think there’s more reasons to support it not being included in Classic based on original Wrath than vice versa.
The article was posted yesterday, 2022-04-19T07:00:00Z and it was the first thing to pop up when viewing WoW classic in the launcher. It’s how I came to watch the announcement video quite shortly after it was posted to Youtube. It was posted on worldofwarcraft.com as well.
Anyone quitting over LFD would have quit anyway shortly after launch.
Rose tinted goggles regarding LFD for most here… it’s just lazy… you’re still going to be waiting 20min to an hour as dps to get into a group… except now it’ll be filled with people who have no reason to stay in the group if things go south.
Tank shortage will still exist, LFD doesn’t fix anything it just rips what little rpg there is out of the game by instantly teleporting you into a dungeon with 4 players you don’t know.
You sit in dal and you spam dungeons without actually going anywhere or putting any effort in besides clicking a button.
Who knows, likely not, that would cause even more outrage than LFD.
I know they talked on this, but the only possible lockout they could mess with IS TotC, you can’t combine lockouts for 10/25, they have different loot.
Wasn’t that during cata?
The other big one right now is, they want to mess with dual spec…
I have a feeling the classic team is given zero resources to develop new content for classic, so the only thing classic devs have control over is tweaking numbers and existing systems.
It would explain why all the decisions being made are reductive.
You think that but I can see them doing just that.
“We didn’t want the players to feel forced to do a raid 4 times each lockout so we’re going to be combining the 10 and 25 man raid lockouts into 1.”
I can 100% see them doing this.
If they do the outcry would be massive, you’re not only messing with loot, you’re messing with achievements, mounts, etc.
