I would recommend going and recording the Quest line as-is and hosting it to YT for posterity – the world deserves to know what really happened here.
Go for it.
I can name multiple times when blizzard has gone back on the "it’ll never happen " thing.
In classic and BC alone lol
I can name multiple times where you’re being illogical and can’t understand the difference between stuff employees asked for to feel comfortable in their environment and player choice that doesn’t affect them and no one asked for.
At this point, I hope so.
If someone is uncomfortable because Night elves exist in game should they remove them too?
Should we remove things JUST because SOMEONE might take them in an offensive way? (Like the quest, Opening the Back Door, which is only offensive if your mind is in the gutter)
I find it amusing the ones claiming the moral high ground are the ones that are also being rude and telling other people they hope they quit wow along with other petty insults.
Proof right there you don’t understand what these changes are. All you want to do is be dramatically illogical to fit your hyperbolic narrative.
And more proof you don’t know what the changes are.
What do you want us to say at this point? The reason behind the changes has been explained to you.
If you still have an issue with it, quitting is your only recourse.
No one knows why half these changes are, the changes themselves are illogical.
No one is claiming moral high ground. But if people just want to continue to ignore the reason for the changes and act like “grow a thicker skin” is the answer, then they’ll be happier elsewhere.
Wrong again. As usual.
Ok, explain, in detail, what is offensive about every single change they made, since you seem to know.
Half of these changes could not offend anyone and most are entirely hypocritical, changing a word one place, and not another. Like Consort.
I’m not going to repeat myself:
Speaking for others, eh? Please tell me how you have the inside scoop on how each individual Blizzard employee has felt.
And if you can’t understand that this was a list from their own employees and they’re simply going down a checklist to make the environment better for said employees, then that’s a you issue.
These updates are a relatively small part of a comprehensive, company-wide effort to improve the WoW team and Blizzard as a whole, but they’re important to us as developers. In early August, we set up internal channels where the WoW team could share feedback on content that doesn’t represent who we are as a team today.
why keep a games rating at T if you’re making it a game for children?
So someone had an issue with
Um… You look like a lady.
But not
No. No. I won’t do that. …But my sister will!
? This whole affair reeks of hypocrisy and virtue signaling
… because they aren’t.
Lawsuit starts, employee’s feel disgusted, someone leader speaks up and sparks a discussion and asks for lists on what to change.
I really have a hard time seeing this happen out of the blue.
I’ll give 'em the benefit of the doubt since it may have been blocked so people kept on with their business but still, you gotta wonder what kind of grown adult they are that feels disgusted, hurt, or not included when it comes to these recent changes.
Sure some of the jokes were on the nose there but this is just laughable to how society is reacting across the board in various entertainment fields.
Too young to play technically
