Yes. Your point of view and opinion isn’t everyone’s. Shocking I know.
Sure, whatever. I’m honestly exhausted by you people. You’re not going to get it. You never will.
Keep whining or quit. You’ll change nothing either way. Muting this.
riiiiiight
No one’s point of view is everyone’s
But if you’re going to clean it up, clean it all up, remove all flirts, every innuendo, every transmog that shows skin.
Right now it just reeks of hypocrisy, like I said.
in the USA it means nothing, video games are classified as free speech, therefor ratings have no purpose, children can buy M rated games and the only people who can do anything about it is their parents.
No, they can’t, not in 99% of cases. It’s not illegal, but almost every company policy is not to sell M games to those under 17
Just like they are likely to get turned away from an R rated movie. I know of some places that will even turn pre-teens away from pg-13 movies.
it actually means the average iq level of its playerbase.
I’ll let you tell me how Brewfest, genocide, killing people, xenophobia, demons, death, etc fit into an E rating.
Oh, and here’s the ESRB description of WoW and why they gave it a T rating:
This is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) role-playing game set in the imaginary world of Azeroth. Players complete quests in order to “level up” their characters, while gaining powers and better weapons/armor/accessories along the way. Quest objectives sometimes involve using magic and hand-to-hand combat to defeat various creatures, enemy soldiers, and occasionally other characters such as innocent villagers. Some attacks can result in splashes of red blood or small bursts of flesh and bone falling to the ground. Certain quests require the player to drink alcohol, resulting in the character’s impaired vision (blurry screen, pink elephants) and movement. Players can interact with scantily clad characters, listen to provocative dialogue (e.g., “Is that a mana wyrm in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?”), or view sexually suggestive dance routines performed by elves and other player-characters. One quest requires players to search for specific creatures among a landscape covered with piles of brown feces.
But sure, keep ignoring the rest of the game because a few things got altered.
That’s not what’s happening here.
It’s a list from employees.
You really aren’t making yourself look better here.
i’m not gonna state my total opinion, i’m not gonna go on a long tangent i’m just gonna say… these changes are dumb, and blizzard is dumb to make them, considering their game is T for teen.
that’s it.
you think these things wont be removed or baby proofed?
i mean, its not like you buy games in stores anymore, and the few gameshops still out there are not going to turn business away. not that teens are looking for 35 year old collectibles, but you get my point.
Ah yes, because calling them the twin consorts was offensive, but not the consorts everywhere else in the game.
I still go to the store sometimes honestly, and they definitely still turn away kids from m rated games.
Obviously you can’t keep kids from buying m rated games online.
No they are making changes because they are spineless, pandering, pathetic, liberal, wanna-be-SLWs that are facing a multi million dollar settlement and in fear of losing more money.
Bobby needs another yacht.
Here is your explanation.
It MAY doesn’t mean is has to.
Ah, so someot else who just wants to be overly dramatic and ignore the explanation of the changes. Mkay. You made that easy.
Moving on.
Maybe try reading some context on it before you scream “HYPOCRITICAL” again. You don’t even know what you’re talking about.
The Twin Consorts are said to be greatest of the Thunder King’s treasures. Rumored to be the only known female mogu in existence, Lei Shen keeps his trophies close
That doesn’t actually change anything. At all.
A consort is a consort, if it’s offensive in one use, it’s offensive in all uses.
Protip: It’s not offensive at all.
Consort
a wife, husband, or companion, in particular the spouse of a reigning monarch.
For example, Prince Phillip was Queen Elizabeth’s Consort.
If there is a problem with the wording of their backstory, then change that wording, they’re still consorts.
Yes. It does. Their description and backstory is why they were changed.
It’s not about the word itself.
I mean, you literally proved it’s not, seeing as how the other references weren’t removed and the word isn’t offensive— which we all know.
It was their backstory that was the issue.
I honestly don’t care what art they’re changing or what emotes they’re removing or adjusting. I just want to know why we still don’t have a release date for 9.1.5 and how friggen long it’s going to take to get 9.2 content.
Wow…you are the smuggest person on this entire, and I mean entire, forum.
People try to engage you in conversation and you’re nothing but condescending towards them. All of them.
Seriously, don’t respond (although I know you will because you HAVE to) and stop being so smug in every, single, post.
