The idea of streaming was cool when there was a single library you could go to for archives of just about everything. Now that they’re becoming just another collection of walled-off fiefdoms, I’ve lost interest.
The Dark Crystal was the last thing I watched before letting go.

both good options the boys is great to.
You might be interested in “Ragnarok” also. Norwegian show, I watched it with subtitles, but it seems available in English with it being mostly the same actors.
Anyway it starts with a mother and her two sons returning to their old town “Edda” after some family set backs in the south. It quickly becomes apparent that there’s more to the two sons than even they know and that the town’s wealthy industrialist family is very dangerous and powerful.

EPIX had a free demo weekend that just finished and I watched nine episodes of “Britannia” which is the first season and caught the premier episode of the second season. It’s available on Amazon Prime. Historical drama about the second Roman invasion of Britain which took from 43 AD to 87 AD. I almost wish I’d waited till the series was over to watch for bingeing purposes, but I’m hooked now. “The Governor” from Walking Dead is the Roman General. And…Kelly Reilly.
Norsemen is hilarious! Love that show.

Still need to sit down and watch that…
On Prime, try Humans.
On Netflix…Living With Myself or Dead to Me are both great.
An older series you might like on Prime----Burn Notice. It has 7 seasons and actually has an ending.

Excellent name!
Amazon Prime check “The Expanse” and “The Boys”.
The Expanse spends some initial episode on necessary world-building. The authors of the 9 novels and handful of novellas are also the producers, show-runners, and approve the scripts of the episodes so we shouldn’t see any “GoT S08 issues”

I would recommend a show but the OP sounds more interested in lionizing the platform rather than enjoying the actual content.
If you’re looking for a spooky movie for Halloween there is the 1978 version of, “Invasion of theBody Snatchers” on Prime, as well as, “They Look Like People.”
For TV shows “Utopia” is very good, but very unfortunate in its timing (about a new, killer virus). It get downvoted a lot for not being the British version (which is definitely worth checking out) but the US one stands on its own, and I think will be amazing in season two.
Schitt’s Creek on Netflix. Season 6 was just added a few days early so the entire series is now on there.
Some feel that way about discovery and picard also.

As many have said, The Boys is a really great series on Prime. On Netflix, I really enjoyed Locke and Key.

I can kinda understand [it’s on my list atm] as while there have been adaptations that got handled well [Being Human, loved the US version] there were also other beloved shows that did get poorly handled and may have left people burned [Never forget Red Dwarf]. Hope people give this one a chance though,it does look pretty good.
Dragula on netflix. It’s on Amazon Prime as well buuuuuut it doesn’t work that great. So they scooted a new season to netflix. It’s a horror themed drag show. A new season is coming to Shudder at the end of the month
The Old Guard on netflix is good
