Still can’t customize fishing sound like we used to. Still can hear other people’s bobbers, which is confusing. If you have hearing or vision issues, fishing is a mess now. I used to enjoy it, now I pretty much only do it at the Darkmoon Faire for easy alt xp.
I think people who think DF professions were horrendous just wern’t very good at them. But that’s okay, some people are good at tanking or DPS and other people are good at professions.

Something did happen to fishing about 6 months ago and more junk started appearing at level 100 fishing. I haven’t tried much in Pandaria but it was noticable on Dragon Isles.
Hence the word “similar”. I never stated Professions were player power, I stated that the systems are made up of similar components.
They literally are.
The system structure is not going away but it is highly likely that the Profession Skill Trees will have a brand new Knowledge Point grind with each new expansion.
You can argue that I don’t have a crystal ball, but neither do you. 
I just fish in schools, that way I always get what I want.
Knowledge Points need their timegate as progress removed and changed into an actual interactive grind. Waiting in timeout for a week or being FOMO burned for missing a week to penalize people for not boosting corporate MAU metrics is trashy.
People don’t want to interact with craft orders as shouting over AHK using spambots teeangers set up in 5 minutes in trade or services chat is a miss. Especially when prices go negative anyways as there’s an oversupply of every mat due to gather bots and automatic undercut bots. The bad actors from prior made themselves even more well known and the system is even more stinky.
Not even remotely similar. At all.
Borrowed power systems are for PLAYER POWER and only ONE had a skill tree. A very limited one on a weapon that was then greyed out and for all intents and purposes removed with no way to use it properly now.
You trying to equate HoA/Azerite gear to Profession Specializations is nonsensical at best. And I won’t entertain the ridiculousness any longer.

It’s not just one thing mate.
It’s many issues combining together that push it over the edge into absolutely terrible. It might have had the intention of more depth, but that depth was sabotaged.

I’ve considered it. The stupid mount from Argus or whatever it is hasn’t dropped for me. I have probably over 15k attempts at it. Yeah I’ll prob just find some way to cheat and get it. I don’t like being spit on.
Beyond frustrating to say the least. Hours of my life wasted over some random +1 to my mount collection.
I used to sit in LFR queues for an hour long on TEN characters and all I would do is fish. I got the LFR jaina mount though in the process lol.
i hate all professions this expansion.
I love fishing including the one in this game it give me time to unwind from the world .nothing like fishing an acme hole.
This isn’t the issue - I was fishing in the same spot last week and getting fish and now all of a sudden just junk like I have no fishing skills.
If it’s off the ruby shrine it fluctuates on fishing .Good time you would have fish other times just junk with some surprises.
