What did you do to fishing

I just explained this above. There’s no power involved. The specializations aren’t going away for DF. So no, it’s not. And we don’t know what will be happening moving forward, unless you have a crystal ball or inside knowledge from Blizz.

Every expansion has its own Professions to level up. That’s nothing new. Stop trying to make an argument that doesn’t exist.

Yeah the knowledge points do need worked on. And the Crafting Order system needs to be refined a bit.

I’ve maxed everything sub-tree wise except my blacksmith. I however have never used anything I craft gear wise but have made people gear. I just can’t stand some of the players’ names attached to the gear, Made by Icraftforprofit for example. If I am going to have something crafted, I want a name that fit’s World of Warcraft and the Fantasy world it is set in.

There’s nothing wrong with that. I got a plate piece a few weeks ago, it was made by someone named Hephaestus. Thought that was pretty cool

That is so freaking cool.

Just because you don’t feel the same way about something as another person does, does not negate it or make it cease to exist. Unless you’re just attempting to troll, which is very possible on these forums. Lol

You must like watching paint dry as well…

If we follow your logic then Crafting has been borrowed power since TBC. Is that what you are saying?

An opinion on disliking the profession system is one thing. Claiming “It’S bOrRoWeD pOwEr” as a factual statement that’s actually false is quite another.

I was surprised he managed to snag the name. Most really cool fantasy or mythology names go quick on RP servers.

Probably an og player or really lucky.

Very likely. I’ve seen some with some pretty cool names. I always enjoy seeing names that could fit with the world around.

Of course not. No other previous profession systems had Knowledge Points and Skill Trees.

It’s better than just pressing buttons on a menu, which is all other professions lol.

Fishing is only slightly better than gathering professions, because you’re actually out interacting with the world.

So it is the rpg elements of it that you believe make it like a borrowed power system?

Thats why we only use the Blizzard approved auto fish bot.

No. The borrowed-power system elements similar to the 3 aforementioned borrowed-power systems (Knowledge Points & Skill Trees) are what makes it a borrowed-power system. They have no place in Professions. PvE, PvP, sure. I was not part of the community that rallied against them. Not in Professions though.

There is NOTHING similar about them.

  1. This isn’t player power
  2. These aren’t skill trees
  3. They aren’t going away

Specializations existed in BC, just without an in-depth RPG element to it. People learn specializations within their own professions in life. This is an RPG element to specialize in what you enjoy.

It’s added depth, refinement and focus. And it’s NOT a borrowed power system. AT ALL.

Finding a name that isn’t a rule violation or taken by someone else can be hard. I limit myself even further by all females must start with a S and all males start with a Z.

Most of my characters I look up what would be cool names for orcs and then plug them into online translator once I choose a name by changing the first letter to an S or Z I then listen to how its pronounced. If it sounds cool after that I make it a name, provided I get that green checkmark.

Sagakh - Inscriptionist
Sarakh - Jewelcrafter
Selura - Alchemist
Shranduil - Enchanter / Tailor
Zohkar - Engineer
Zoltac - Leatherworker
Zuotosh - Blacksmith

Selura, Sondrea and Zohkar have been names I have used going on 25 years now from when I first started playing in MMO’s.
