Goblins get the Holy Light from the gleam of gold coins.
I was a fan of this explanation (prior to the contract stuff that we have to work with because, again, Blizzard canāt keep to their own lore) - I hadnāt ever thought much about the bone option except that it seemed slightly out of placeā¦ much like shamanism. Iām going with the troll connection.
Goblins had connections to the Elements when they weāre still a Pygmy slave race to the Trolls.
Them getting super intelligence from the Kajaāmite didnāt change that, It just made them better.
Thereās no reason they would give up Shamanism, considering how powerful the elements are.
When a Gilnean becomes afflicted with the Worgen curse, half of their soul is permanently tied to the Emerald dream.
Not only do they make sense as druids, they are arguably the most powerful druids on Azeroth. Itās literally a part of them
The Class race combo that makes no Sense to me is Lightforged Death Knight, The process of becoming Lightforged burns away all the darkness in your soul, which is why most races that arenāt Draenei canāt survive the process.
If you raise them as a DK, you would remove the Light in their soulā¦ And fill it with darkness. Butā¦ they donāt really have any darkness left.
Human hunter. Something about it just seems off.
Also Worgen Druid nailed it, they need their forms completely revamped. If Zandalari can be a bunch of totally different dinosaurs they deserve a big bad wolf, a medium wolf and a wolfish moonkin. I have one and itās glyph of stars ftw all day long, one of the reasons I retired the character for this one is I canāt stand any worgen druid forms. Itās like they didnāt even try, everything looks like a reskin of night elf architecture and the very minor wolf callbacks in the present forms are not nearly enough.
ROFL really?
Human potential
Itās not the lore that doesnāt make sense to meā¦ itās literally just the concept of goinā Werewolf > bear or Werewolf > cat or Werewolf > fat chicken.
I wouldāve made it -
Dire Wolf (guardian)
Warg (feral)
Coyote (travel)
Flight and Aquatic can be whatever and canāt think of anythinā for Boomie so good thing thereās Glyph of the Stars.
I agree. It was always weird to me that worgen went human, wolf then cat/bear/chicken. Just odd.
I like your wolf form ideas but I think thereās lore against it, but Iām not 100% sure on that. Something about the wolf form for Druids is like super feral.
you see THAT would require extra effort on Blizzardās part.
So I Suggest you give up now.
Also yes, Glyph of stars is so cool
Oh, I donāt have to give up. Blizzard already answered me with Zandalari Dinomancers and Kul Tiran Thornspeakers. Theyāre the only Druids Iāll ever play unless they get really crazy and make Mechagnome āDruidsā with mecha forms. I would make a Mechagnome āDruidā named Tigerhawk in a heartbeat.
Dwarf mages are the best mages.
Zandalari Paladin. They retconned the heck out of them and I hate it
āThey just believe really hardā THEY STILL LOST THEIR SOURCE OF POWER TO BELIEVE IN SO WHY-
All of them, because besides Humans, none of these things actually exists, and warriors and priests and druids in real life donāt have insane abilities or magic.
They were taught by Night elves. Prior to learning from the nIght elves they were considered harvest witches.
Night elves forbid the use of pack form, why would they teach another race how to use a form they donāt like/trust/have outlawed?
I donāt understand why KulāTiran druids animal forms look necrotic and skeleton like. Shouldnāt druids be dealing with life and nature magic? Why the doom and gloom?
Vulpera Mages and Warlocks are so far out of left field. Access to Priest is a stretch, though more believable then the former; the race is in desperate need of lore, they are currently tied with Void Elves in the lacking department.
Blood Elf Paladins, they made sense as Blood Knights. Whatever they are now is just a worse version of the Human variety.
Night Elf Mages; I know the lore from Cataclysm, though it doesnāt stop the combination from being utterly ridiculous. This was, in my opinion, a huge step backwards for Night Elf lore, not an improvement.
Tauren Paladin, no questionā¦ itās just dumb.
I would give second place to male Worgen of any class because their walk cycle is floppy and silly. Great roar emote but running around like they are wearing clown shoes makes them impossible to take seriously.
Why would any race allow warlocks? Orcs got screwed by them, Nightelves, Bloodelves, Nightborn, and Void elves got screwed by them. Humans lost their king to one, warlocks defile the land and offend both the elements and ancestors, Draenei lost two home worlds to them, and every time Warlocks do anything, demons screw over the whole raceā¦
But that said, I donāt think any race/class combo makes no sense. Oh cept Tauren Rogues on account of the cowbells!
The Drust druids understand death is part of the cycle so they donāt really hide from it and focus on just life.
Going to hop in this thread and just say (an admittedly and wildly unpopular opinion)ā¦all races should have all classes available. I get lore, and i get why things are the way they are. But in principle, and by now, the Draenei for example, have had exposure to their Worgen allies, who know the ways of the Druid. And vice-versa for say, Paladins. It make no pragmatic sense to me at this point in retail, to restrict a class from a given race just because. Lore set us on our way, yesā¦but changes such as this do not detract in any way from Lore or the history of the game. My two cents (maybe less).
