I think they are saying that because some of these beliefs exist in the real world, and existed many many years ago in the past…(but not in WoW’s lore), that they are factual and should be adhered to within Warcraft’s universe.
All irrelevant.
Its relevant by them using it to create their stuff automatically
They are not creating anything automatically. They are drawing upon many different forms of inspiration.
They look into old cultures, old mythology to create the fantasys we have today lol
In fact wow has it backwards dream stuff is shamans thing not druids lol
You have it backwards.
Everything backwards.
Taking inspiration from something doesn’t mean you copy/paste it. Thankfullly.
Or nothing new would ever be created.
When you take inspiration your suppose to stay true to what u steal it from lol
It’s a matter of respecting the orgins
Nope.
Ya otherwise your disrespecting the orgins which is just wrong
Still wrong.
Fixed the spelling of Pagan. Ugggh I dislike it when people misspell simple words.
All based on Modern Mythology. Modern Paganism was a product of the Rosicrucianism Beliefs of the 17th, 18th, and 19th Centuries. With the 20th century members (Golden Dawn members) writing all the first books on Druidism and Wicca.
Since all you are doing is looking up on Wikipedia and have no actual background in College Mythology studies I would stop talking about things you have no knowledge of.
p.s. I’m a Member of a Rosicrucian Order, a Biblical Scholar, and a Mythology Scholar.
P.S.2 Also since WOW isn’t based on any actual Mythology, you should feel right silly. I mean Kobold should be human babies with claws and fangs who ruin kitchens or at least look like Garden Gnomes. Oh, and if it was based on D&D they would be Small Lizard Dragoniods. Not the Rats with candles.
As to D&D Orcs, the latest sourcebook has Player Orcs.
See:

You’ll have to buy the book. I own it, as I DM and keep everything unlocked.
Here is an official rules D&D Orc Wizard. Just made him, you’ll love his name.

Look I’m not going to agrue any more on this so this is my last statement I’m a strong believer in the anicent balance of the five elements… I even consinder myself a water type…
And I honestly view “inspiration” that takes but mods stuff like as disrespectful.
on spelling I’m desliexic so sorry not my good points
Finally a symbol that does it right
Warhammer which was a table top Wargame based on LoTR and D&D was the inspiration for WOW. If you follow Blizzard History, back in the Early 90s, when Blizzard had a different name they approached Games-Workshop to make a PC video game based on Warhammer. GW said no they wanted to support UK companies and not have a small company in Irvine California make it. So Blizzard with their shiny new name made the game anyway, changed a little lore ie names, and Published WarCraft. Oddly the Sue happy Games-Workshop never tried to litigate Blizzard, and now 25 years later we are discussing this.
WarCraft has Warhammer, LoTR, D&D and other fantasy concepts in its DNA. In fact there was a D&D book Published by Wizards of the Coast for WarCraft. And ever since then They have updated D&D to make it so you can play almost any race or class found in WOW, should point out in the D&D settings the races and classes will have different names, ie Trolls in D&D are not the same as Trolls in WOW, so you have to play another similar race.

and by the one on a side note I love those dnd links and they are great by the look over them I do own a book… for it but i stopped over the 5e stuff
ancient balance of the five elements
Not an ancient belief. That’s all. All modern paganism based on what Israel Regardie, Aleister Crowley, and A. E. Waite started by publishing Paganism in the Modern World. Some of it is based on Rosicrucianism and the Golden Dawn, some of it is based on Jewish and Hindu beliefs. But none of it is ancient.
As for spelling, I have a very bad case of Dyslexia which is why I hate it when I see people misspelling when there are tools available to correct it.
If you want a game based on Modern Paganism, that is accurate to pagan beliefs try “A Secret World” that game was all about modern paganism, and they spent most of their budget on researching it and getting it right. ((Possibly why the game fell apart))
I was on my cellphone which its tools are horrible… also okay maybe not ancient but still its just how i follow things maybe its just a “me thing” …
I mean if cellphone has a tool i’d love to know of it for my rps… but I was using grammarly but I had to drop it when some of our bills had almost double the normal cost
for it but i stopped over the 5e stuff
Why? if you said 4th I would totally get that, as 4th was MMO the Table top. 5th is back to good D&D.
I rate it slightly better than 3.0, and slightly behind 3.5. Of course nothing beats 2nd, but that was just because I miss the large Beer and Pizza games I had back in the 90s.
5e from how I heard friends and people talk about ruined the Alignment system which idk kinda mood kills.
I mean if cellphone has a tool i’d love to know of it for my rps… but I was using grammarly but I had to drop it when some of our bills had almost double the normal cost
I use the Free Gramerly on the PC. Honestly, I don’t post on the forums using a cellphone for this reason. Well if I have to, I write my posts on Word for Android than copy paste. I also check it using a text to speech addon, because I want it to sound good as well.
I was paying for the year thing which sadly ran out this month although you have a point the free version on pc would help a lot might wanna post only on pc then
