Yea stuff like Decursive affects gameplay a lot. You can cleanse without actually giving it any thought, removing any skill. Terrible idea.
The latter - are you just talking about mouseover macros? That’s basic stuff. I don’t love those but they exist even without addons.

altoholic would be cool but it really is a bit over the top. i mean it inventories all your characters banks, mailboxes, bags, and even can check their achieves, rep and so on. and it pops up an ui not unlike the auction ui, and you can run a search of all the junk on your characters so you know which character has what in their bank/bags/mail.

Add-ons are magic, though.
Even if you understand magic, it’s still really cool! My mage knows the technical bents, and every by law relating to, portal magic. Doesn’t make teleporting and portaling amazing.

Clique and some kind of unit frame would be nice (grid2 is my favorite but I’d settle for anything).
Clique is especially nice since for some reason mosueover macros do not work over unitframes when bound to mouse button 4/5 for me in any version of the game. I’m not sure why, we talked about it in a thread in BfA alpha and it works for some people and not for others by default but always works with clique.
Mouseover macros always work for both groups over the actual models when bound to those keys, but for some reason not over unitframes (party/raid/target nothing).

Decursive in its Classic form won’t happen. Auto switching to decurse players with priority queues - no longer allowed by the API. But nothing is preventing one from using a weak aura type of thing that tags a raid frame(grid) so you have to mouseover it and click/press key to decurse that player (think Clique).
No, it wasn’t mouseover macros. I forgot the name of the addon since it’s been so long. You hovered over a player’s name in the UI and it would have properly deranked the spell and cast it based off the the missing health of the target.
It was an extreamly powerful addon and got removed along with decursive’s auto casting with TBC’s pre-patch.

Oh that one I’ve heard of but I forget the name, too. Yea there’s no way that’s making it in. They don’t want things that automate gameplay.
why use 2 addons when one does the same thing? I use Vuh do and before that Healbot for as long as i can remember, which sadly changes from day to day,lol.

i think the newest ui for add-ons disallows most scripts. i had copy/pasted a script that if you pressed the forward key on your keyboard, you would unsheath your weapon(s) and they would stay unsheathed until you did something like get on a mount but since it was running constantly, it would immediately unsheath again as soon as you dismounted it and pressed the forward key
i dont think it works anymore tho cause it was a script
