Can you define what exactly do you mean by a strong male lead?
Because we’ve given plenty of examples and you seem to be narrowing it down and moving the post away every time, so nobody can fit your criteria.

What makes a “smart wise elder type character” not a “strong leader”?
There are no Marxists in this country. And Andrew Tate is not a traditionalist.
Nozdormu barely has any lines and even less purpose. All he does is stand around sometimes while you discover the leftover contingencies of batman. Er, I mean Tyr.
I’m gonna be straight with you, boss-- this looks more like a you problem.
None of these people you listed are not “strong male leads.”
Sorry they don’t look and act like a roids ad.
blizz killed some, hid others.
I would not want to be in the front line if they lead an army into battle. They are like Gandalf, extremly powerful but older. Wise but not inspiring.
Khadgar is definitely someone that I would follow into battle.
He’s proven time and time again that he’s not just smart, but brave, combat smart, able to make quick decisions under stress and strong enough.
(And as a joking sidenote, he’s even described as handsome by a female character in the main story).
I mean, if you think Arthas is a strong male and Ebyssan isn’t, you have an unhealth relationship with masculinity…
That said, WoW does need to work on their male leads. Especially their elf ones.
I can’t fully judge current Ebys, but mostly legion + yt videos.
Malfurion in the books is insane, Sarufang is terrified of him , he has 100x his in game power, but they botch that cross from books to game so hard.
Yeah, I was totally uninspired when Gandalf battled the Balrog into the pit to you know… save the whole fellowship/world. Yawn…
Just bustin your onions a little , but I do think you are way off on what makes a strong leader.
I think this was an attempt at a bait thread that didn’t go the way OP wanted, despite the first response taking it hook, line, and sinker.
Back in the day, saying something completely silly would have been a dead giveaway, but nowadays folks have become so unhinged it is hard to tell who is serious when they say something ridiculous. So yeah, I guess I should start overtly labeling my sarcasm.
I think the op basically just wants more Conan-type characters. And I agree. Blizz should quit trying to write orc leaders into sad-sads that need therapy and bring on the blood and thunder.
The he probably needs to say he wants that, instead of saying “strong, male leads”, because WoW has plenty of strong male leads as we’ve shown.
To be fair pretty much everyone on Azeroth needs therapy at this point.
That planet has had a rough couple decades.
Na, it is legit. I’m not that cunning lol but ty? It is definitely not going to be “understood” by everyone and I am not a writer so wording might be a bit off, but many do understand the idea of the character type that is missing. Genuine, I love(d) this game but kinda just losing that connection I grew with is all so airing my grievances in the only place we are suppose to lol. Idk.
You are right, “strong” is very vague but wanted to avoid the toxic side of strong.
Gandalf’s older appearance doesn’t mean much. He’s 24,000 years old. It’s a ruse, one he exploited when he pretended to need his staff to walk in front of the guards in order to confront Wormtongue at Rohan.
Remove Gandalf from the Hobbit and Lotr and everyone dies. He’s inspiring to the point he can bring Eagles, which don’t care about the races of men.
