Wen summoning stones?

This is why you don’t give the community changes, it will never be enough for the community.

“add this retail feature because otherwise RMT”
yeah nice try but no thanks :expressionless:

Still gonna have rmt.

Isn’t this the same logic as removing gdkps?

Oh no, I agree with that. That was more in response to your comment questioning what value running from the FP to the dungeon achieves.

Blizzard should scrap whatever plans – if any – they had to utilize ‘A.I.’ to crackdown on RMT.

After all, such processes didnt exist in 2004-2006. So that would be “LITERALLY RETAIL™” to add something that will improve game quality.

It actually does affect me…

As I mentioned before, my best moments in World of Warcraft was traveling to dungeons with the whole group which involved meeting in town, traveling together, and even taking a boat. Summon stones took that away from me.

People will always choose the more convenient option and I will be pressured into taking the more convenient option too.

You made at least two different posts in the Season of Discovery forums demanding the Random Dungeon Finder. With you it’s a slippery slope, if they do what you want them to do with summon stones, you will eventually ask for Random Dungeon Finder because of your flawed argument of “its not really vanilla”.

I have already explained who summon stones are not meant for vanilla. Classic WoW was never about quality of life features, in fact it’s the opposite. Classic WoW was facing obstacles and traveling. If you want quality of life features, play retail or classic cataclysm.

If you want a more simple reason, it wasn’t in vanilla.

And those players had no business playing classic MMORPGs including vanilla/classic WoW. They should have stuck with Diablo 2 if they wanted to be ported everywhere.

Bruh I can’t for the life of me understand why people want to play era and then make a million changes to era. Era didn’t have summon stones. Never has. If you want to play a game with summon stones, play a different game.

I think many of them are trying to shape their own version of what they thought vanilla should have been by making demands to Blizzard. When Blizzard made some minor changes, they saw this as an opportunity.

Either way I think these people are toxic and not harmless. Blizzard has caved into the demands of entitled players before, so this is why I take an aggressive stance against any radical changes.

Did era have dual spec?

Cuz it does now

You’d rather support rmt than get summoning stones?

RMT is not supported by the devs, those are deviant actions. This is the main reason why I hated the idea of dual specs, not because of the idea itself, but entitled players like you saw this as an opportunity to make more compromises into classic WoW.

This is why I am always concerned with slippery slopes.

I mean blizzard will do anything besides hire gms to crack down on rmt and bots

You literally already have gold sellers advertising in game right now lmao

They are openly in lfg and trade channel spamming they sell gold and the site to go to.

But don’t worry gdkps are banned, hold this placebo

This is the problem with the system. Blizzard is asking players to log in and look at their screen and not play their game while waiting for a group to form. IMO, this is why RDF is so successful. I can queue and keep playing while I wait.

If I have to travel to the dungeon, then list myself, I’m not actually playing the game. On top of that, the tank we were waiting 30 minutes to find is 20 minutes away from the dungeon. So here we are, me logged into the game I’m paying to play and not playing the game for an hour, and you think that’s compelling game design.

Summoning stones goes a long way into mitigating this issue as you only need the two closest to summon everyone else.

Meanwhile, I find people toxic who are calling other players who voice their opinion as to what would make the game fun for them, toxic.

Maybe we can all just have a civil conversation, while expressing opposing opinions, without calling players with opposing views “toxic”.

“some of my best memories of WoW are unfalsifiable anecdotes about how fun it was for a part of twenty-something Alliance players to trek from the gates of Stormwind, through STV, to catch the boat from Booty Bay to Ratchet. All so the five of us could wipe in Wailing Caverns.”

Era also shouldn’t have dual spec. It’s a change they should not have made. Any additional changes are equally bad, and this one is especially worse.

I don’t support RMT, nice strawman.

SOD and Anniversary edition are not “Classic Era”. Are you saying that the Classic Era servers are also getting Duel Spec? I thought that was only Anniversary edition.

More reasons for players to be out in the world is a good thing.

I heard summoning stones and pandaren are coming next week, potentially with pet battles.

Fine, I’ve been using Era and the anniversary servers interchangeably. Anniversary servers also should not have dual spec or summoning stones. They weren’t in the game in 2006. The problems they “solve” aren’t actual gameplay problems, and a problem of zoomers who can’t handle investing their character into something, or waiting around for a few minutes.
