yes, it is
if you ain’t a warlock, you can’t summon
simple as
yeah but the problem gets a lot worse when EVERYONE can summon… you get that right don’t be lazy
are Warlocks the only class that can summon in retail? I wouldn’t know because unlike elfs who cry and cry and cry and cry and cry about retail, I actually quit the game at Cataclysm when it launched because I didn’t like it. and I never went back.
it’s not about if something is 1:1 exactly like retail… that’s missing the point putting things in the game for the sake of convenience (the retail philosophy) destroys the magic that the game has. that’s the issue. we narrowly avoided vanilla being ruined from dual spec, thank God blizzard had the sense to make it rested areas only. let’s stop trying to bring up issues that degrade the game further. enjoy the game for what it is. it doesn’t need to change.
I asked whether warlocks were the only class that could summon in retail, not whatever your lacrimating about now
I don’t play retail, but I imagine it has vendors that sell items that make summoning portals whatever super convenient thing you can imagine, retail has it
so you don’t actually play retail but you know what is and is not quote-unquote “literally retail”.
fascinating
I completely agree with you 100%
Not to mention we’ve seen this world thousands of times over the years.
Who the hell cares about running from a flightpath to an entrance of a dungeon?
I care. Myself along with others grew to love the actual world that was created. To you it is just a game, but to me and others it is a world. I could travel through the same place 1000 times and I won’t get bored.
Then you can continue doing that.
Why cant the rest of us enjoy a summoning stone?
It won’t affect you.
reducing the respawn timer for Deathstalker Erland from 30 minutes to 5 minutes is also, I’m told, “LITERALLY RETAIL™”
Blows my mind how many people are against a simple quality of life feature like activating the summoning stones that are already there.
We can agree to disagree. I’ve certainly seen people leave groups in Classic when they realise there’s no Warlock and they’re going to have to run to the dungeon themselves.
I think the TBC Summon Stone ruleset struck a very fair compromise since it adds a QoL (don’t need a Warlock) but takes away another (must be within appropriate level range to use). You can always just kick the lazy moochers from your party.
I do think the shared tediousness is part of the Classic experience (for better and worse), which is why RDF and similar QoL features are bad for the game, but I understand your point.
You mean all the gold selling warlocks?
Summoning stones are not rdf.
They require 3 people to be there at the entrance.
Is 3 not good enough for people?
Better to buy a summon from a gold selling warlock apparently.
I guess.
But Ill need to buy gold to afford that.
My addition to the cause.
Yes they don’t care.
I’m going to be selling boosts to people who buy gold.
If they need more gold they can find 1 of the many sites that sell it in trade chat or lfg.
