I have nothing personal against Asmongold but GOD do I absolutely despise his fanbase.

They put the blame on Asmongold for cultivating that kind of behavior in his fanbase, and to an extent I can agree, especially considering Asmongold in the past. But you absolutely will not find a reasonable solution from people pointing fingers at Asmongold. What is he supposed to do? They couldn’t tell you. They just want him gone.

Asmon himself has been the target of harassment by torch and pitchfork mobs. This is the environment that we live in now. It goes all ways to all people who put themself in any kind of spotlight. If you don’t or can’t recognize that…
Also, being self deprecating and someone else calling you an a**hole are not the same thing. He calls himself that because he has a following and is critical against what he views as poor direction of the game he’s obsessed with, etc. Try using your brain and think critically - not everything is completely surface level in context.

You people have an odd view of monarchies through history. In fact most of them do rule until they died and it was pretty irrelevant whether their Kingdom loved them or not

That’s a good point, but in the context of WoW they are using an iconic quote from in-game against Blizzard. I’m sure you know that, and I’m sure many people don’t know much about real life kingdoms and monarchies.
Kings had armies to keep their peasants in line, Activision has no way to stop its players from leaving.
I welcome the exodus and advertising for the other game. It’s what gets each to build a better product. Think the American automakers when Japan was putting out a superior product.

I watched the whole thing. The title is clickbait. It just talks about Asmongold trying out FF and how it’s brought in a lot of people into the scene. Nothing about him being a god who can break an MMO. It’s someone aiming to get some publicity by throwing out the word Asmongold.

But they did die, and thus didn’t rule forever, and when they stopped ruling early discontent was generally the spark of revolution.

thats ok dude. Weebs aren’t being forced to play it so you’re good and don’t worry about the asmon trolls that are playing it. Theyre just looking for a decent game to play ever since activision put a bad taste in their mouth and started publicly bashing their player base.
