no they didn’t, they ran out of the pre-made digital codes is all. only so many are made up beforehand based on demand, so when an unexpected amount of buyers showed up, they ran out

I agree with this 100% but I think the attention he got should have ended at being flamed online for being a bonified doofus. Doxxing and hacking back accounts is horrible. But I really don’t feel bad for the dude. He ran his mouth and didn’t expect consequences. Shoulda known better.

You’re referring of course to when a World of Warcraft employee on a thread calling for players to false report him and try to get him disconnected (a bannable offence in WoW) then called “that streamer” a word for a butt that this forum wont let you type out here, and then “that streamer” told his audience to leave “that employee” alone and then they did basically the IRL versions of what that thread was trying to organize people to do to “that streamer?”
So… what you wanted was for him to do what exactly to stop other people for attacking someone who was attacking someone else on the internet?

You know, the weird thing is that while FF14 is clearly beating WoW now… the staff at Square Enix, and Yoshi P himself, probably really DO want WoW to be better, much like I do… but in the meantime I think this swift slap in the face might just galvanize Blizzard into action to release a great 10.0 for the people who stick around.
