They should have turned BGs into an e-sport. People would probably actually like watching that.
What? Don’t you guys like seeing a variety of comps for high keys?
Mage Druid
Druid Mage

Oh my lord. The topic title “The Great Push” actually makes sense for BGs.
I wish they would pick an audience, instead of trying to cater to so many and satisfying none.
“Back by popular demand” and “based on true events” are marketing buzz and nothing else.
I might end up pleasantly surprised but I doubt this will get the participants they think it will.
Imagine thinking 20 grand is a great purse when they’ve recently, quite undeservedly, handed out 4 orders of magnitude more to one person.
Next product: “original” Looter shooter MMO where you need to “frag” people and get kills to win against a team. Introducing battlepasses the new best thing since sliced bread!

Agreed. At this point in time any blizz facilitated esport is going to get some fair criticism.
I’d be fine with the Esport stuff if it seemed they cared about the other portion of the player base… but it’s just not so.
If you don’t like M+, go farm boars in Classic WoW or something, lol.
Suspiciously enough, this does seem to be the attitude of the developers toward the majority of players.
So “pushing keys” is an official term now because Blizzard is using it?

He’s probably going to find a way to blame it on the community.
“The community isn’t killing boars effectively so they are trying Mythic+”
I noticed a pattern where his posts belittle the community almost everytime. It’s always the fault of players.
Uhh… yeah? M+ is awesome. If you don’t like M+, go farm boars in Classic WoW or something, lol. It’s actually a bit amusing you think that calling someone for liking one of the most popular features in the game is a burn.
How can you prove that M+ is the most popular feature?
They can rub a dollar and show some effort. Are you saying they are a small indie company?
I feel like you’re being intentionally obtuse because you realized that your argument ended up chasing its own tail.
Dev work takes time. Blizzard needs immediate solutions.

Dev work takes time. Blizzard needs immediate solutions…
Do you realize that the sentence “Blizzard needs immediate solution” is a contradiction?
Blizzard and immediate solutions are like water and oil
Because those specs suck right now. They’re not even just “not meta”, they’re pretty noticeably worse in certain respects than other specs in the given role. It’s like whining that people don’t play enough Donkey Kong or Ganon in Smash Brothers Melee. Getting sick of Fox/Final Destination is one thing, but expecting competitors to scrape the literal bottom of the barrel just to appease die-hards of very specific characters? Wut?
When did this game stop being an RPG where you developed your character and turn into one where a player is not supposed to care in the least about their character. So we are supposed to immediately stop playing the character and class we want to play and reroll to some class and spec they don’t want to play to generate more time played for daddy blizzard, then go back and rework that original character when, surprise!, come late expansion there is a system created for them to grind currency to earn that class’s redemption?
Come on. Earlier you said that the entire purpose of shadowlands was to help casuals get into groups. Now you’re saying “trash everything you’ve ever done in the game”. Which is it?
I thought you already had a “great push” when you limited options on play time purchases. I know it’s pushed a lot of people.
My biggest feedback with MDI was that it felt completely disconnected from the game actually played by players on live servers.
I recently started running M+ with a group of friends I had raided with several years back. I was amazed to learn that the team leader wanted us to use MDI strats when we can barely clear a +10 in time. I told him we should pick no-skip routes for “average” players until we built up our item-level and dungeon experience and that MDI was only viable for the cream of the elites with paid sponsorships to practice 8 hr/day (i.e., not for us).
Blizzard, by way of Shadowlands has given a new definition to the letters MMO. Now it stands for Many Mythics Only.
This is garbage that I do not care about and I hate it. It actually makes me angry that this is what you guys choose to do with WoW while the game is in the state that it is in.
But omg I’m so excited for the people who do care!

Nice, more emphasis on esports with terrible prize pools.
Try making the game fun again instead.
