No thanks. Haven’t logged in in over a month, this isn’t going to make me want to play. Game is dead boring. Really wish I hadn’t bought a 6 month subscription.

Yeah a lot of people who like to play the game watch it.
A lot of people hate it because it basically showcases the meta - which would be present in the game regardless. If the challenge forced teams to play not meta comps, I’m sure it would be more popular.

Sure would love if we got random announcements like this for things that actually affect the people playing the game. You actively annoy such a large portion of your community by constantly pushing this kind of garbage.

Hey Blizzard, ignore these negative clowns. As someone who is not a pro player but also not a super casual, I appreciate you trying something new. I’ll be watching this as I have some favorite streamers I’d love to see how high they can push. I don’t think this can hurt the game at all, you either watch it or you don’t. You either compete or you don’t. This is a fun idea and I appreciate it. I wish everyone was more realistic and grateful. Writing code isn’t easy and I think sometimes people forget behind every change is a stack of code and another meeting with the team. We can’t have everything we want.
These are possibly the dumbest comments ive seen, its not for you, dont watch it. You do not have to be a part of this at all, you can get on, do your own keys, do mythic 0s, clear all the quests in the zone, do the content y ou want to do or can do, if there is no content that you want, unsubscribe.
I don’t know what’s funnier, gamers with athletic tape on their forearms clicking buttons while sitting in a chair or Blizzards attempt at keeping Esports failing demographic

Me not watching their esports doesn’t make any difference to the effect Blizzards continual design pandering for esports has.
This continual Esports obsession has absolutely destroyed the design of modern WOW. They’ve trashed class design to homogenise everything, they’ve destroyed loot and dungeons by forcing M+ gearing down everyone’s neck. They design around a meta that just plan excludes certain classes/specs.

This game needs more overly competitive nonsense instead of, you know, balance and actual content. But nah, streamer say funny thing, that mean streamer is good. That mean event is good. I. am. smart.

Hi. I’ve been playing WoW on and off since 2006, and sinking quite a lot of money and time into it. I stopped a month ago and it feels pretty great.
It feels like I’m done for good this time.

More proof many businesses are run by irrational actors.
I wish Blizzard would take one of the many hints the playerbase has been begging them to see for years now but it increasingly looks like they’re uninterested. It’ll be the death of the game. It’s already driving away the casuals whose massive size subsidizes the game for everyone else. And I don’t see big advertising deals from Toyota or whoever picking up the monetary slack for such a thing. For one thing very few companies care about “e-sports”, certainly not unpopular and boring ones like this.

Raiding gear is better than m+, you wont be happy unless they make the game you have nostalgia for, its a joke, the game is in a great spot in terms of enjoyment for me, unlucky for you I guess. You absolutely do not have to do m+, in previous expansions you didnt have anything but raiding to get gear from, so I really dont even understand how you can think that.
Ive played 7 classes so far this xpack and each class has its own unique thing, instead of mana, they generally now have a secondary power, a lot of the classes are build and dump, which I do think needs a change. But in terms of what each character can do, its different, some characters have more control (rogue, mage) others have more utility for a group (paladin, shaman, druid).|
Esports is huge, so of course blizzard are trying to dip into it, but to say that m+ is forcing you to gear through it is absurd, what do you use gear for? raiding? pvp? world quests? the sake of g etting gear to have more gear?
You have absolutely no reasoning for m+ being in the game or not being in the game. You can pvp and get pvp gear, you can raid and get raiding gear, you can do m+ and get m+ gear, or you can do all of them.
There is content you really do not have to do. Unless, hold on, you are trying to be competitive in some degree, which means you care about gearing, you care about dps, healing throughput etc. Its always been like this in terms of esports, blizzcon arena, etc.
The game is just in a state that you dont like personally, and maybe a lot of people feel like that, Ive yet to see a compelling reason that doesn’t boil down to someone not liking something based on their own personal opinion, which is ok.
