Try checking out Communities and see if there are any current arena groups. I’ve found that has worked out better than trying to find people through the LFG tool.
What are you on about?
Haha these topics and people wanting blizzard to do all the footwork for them.
I don’t want my pvp to depend on how many friends are online. Plus why would I make friends with anyone in this “community?”
because it’s nice to broaden your pool? Sometimes you may get people that are rude, but that’s real life
Nothing I have seen in this game has encouraged me to join a guild. If anything I question why I even play this game to be honest with you.
If you got a problem with solo rated queue and feel the need speak against it, there’s something wrong with you. It doesn’t affect you if it gets added so. Just a simple fact. no need to speak out against it. It’s a simple quality of life improvement that you should overlook if you don’t care about.
Then why you said ‘Until you’? Sounded like you were sure that’s how i’d feel. That’s projecting. And most people would rather have rated solo that’s just a fact Silent majority, you can test it if you type in gen chat ingame. Perhaps you’re not wrong about me being a ‘elitist’ myself, but it’s over a noble cause that wouldn’t affect you. Why are you bothered by it?
Except complaining about who you get matched with IS craving for meta, but on all fairness it’s normal. Weird matchups happens, but its not enough of a big deal for it to de-legitimatize solo rated queues. Maybe you’re not 100% meta and i didn’t take other people into account and thought too much of you(my mistake), but it’s a normal part of random queues. Still rated play at heart, people will play to win, there’s a reward. besides, i think randomness is fun, maybe not everyone, but it isnt a world breaking big deal.
And if you’ve read anything then you know i’m very affected. sure, i can make groups and join, except i get declined instantly and or groups fall apart. i am not able to consistently play rated pvp, it’s not an option for me. rated queuing, would fix that. So far, its a terrible experience.
I did go overboard there i’ll admit
Also overboard. But that’s how most elitists are. But hey if you’re not like that good for you. That being said, stop being against rated queuing. Doesn’t affect you.
That is a lie, and you know it very well. Sure, yeah there’s no systems in game preventing you from accessing said content. But the people DO gatekeep. If you’re new, youre never getting added into groups and if lucky, kicked after the next match. Make your group and then highly likely it falls apart, yeah in essence you DO get to play rated, but is this really how things should be, when something as simple as rated queues can be added? Would make things so much better. It’s simple life quality improvement.
ok but u brought that up. but fine ignore that.
Ah, i assumed you read some of the things i said prior on top.
Obviously. But a simple queue button for rated is far better than having to rely on Yolo groups. Which like i said, at times they straight up decline, while not full.
I don’t think it’ll take that long. Arenas are fairly quick and with a high player pool, there’s going to be a lot of people queuing at any given time not in match, making it faster. as opposed to dungeons, that take a while to complete hence the long queue times made worse by there not being as much healer/tanks. Then again, it’s all speculation no way to know for certain. But it wouldn’t be that bad that’s for sure.
I spend all day with people and being social. I’m all for a solo queue for rated pvp. Why? Cause I’d rather not sit there for 45 minutes to find 2 people, play one round, then do it again. Doesnt sound fun. This isnt a dating app
1-Press “H” on your keyboard
2-click the tab labeled “PVP”
3-select the top option
4-click “join queue”
It works 100% of the time and the wait is rarely more than 5 minutes.
Solo queue will make that worse. People will definitely leave after one loss if they can just re queue
Also it would just reduce rated to skirms.
Top professional PVPer’s are also calling for this to enhance the game. For the PVE crowd who says just go do random pvp, why don’t you just go do Torghast, its the same type of content your doing now?
People want a ranked competitive solo que with rewards like any other game with pvp
Fantastic video. Very well thought of and put together. Everyone would get benefited lol, no one loses anything. High level Pros will not get their experience foiled. Improved, actually. More people actually get to play rated pvp now.
All this anti-solo rated queue is insecurity from those looking to stomp on lesser geared people who have no way of getting it because they themselves gatekeep.
No, you’ve got it wrong it does affect me because im allowed to use it to. So my opinion gets to matter just as much as yours. And I’m not 100% against the idea really.
I just think it’s good to allow some aspects of the game to be left up to the players. Not everything needs to be automated. That’s all.
You - generalized. Was just using your quote to point specific things out. Sorry, didn’t mean for it to be directed solely at you.
Eh, that’s just an opinion, and no real way to prove it unless Blizzard made a mandatory poll for everyone to take. I’d be interested to see what the actual numbers come out to be though.
I play not meta…meaning anyone I match up with, would be a non-meta comp. Doesn’t really compute to what you’re claiming my friend.
Again, happens to everyone. I’ve been denied a +2 that I figured I’d carry the group in just for S&Gs. Can’t take everything personally.
Covered this. Not against it exactly. There is then in-game community thingamajig where you can find like minded folks to run your specified content with. I’ve used it couple times to great success! Can even make a few fast friends out of it if you enjoyed the experience. And there you go, you’ve got a steady group or 2 or 3 you can run with!
No - everyone has access to all parts of the game. No one can stop me from joining rated PvP. I can be hindered in my process to gear up and push ratings, yes, but I cannot be stopped from entering content. But again, that’s all aspects of the game. Whether it be people, or AI.
Random group generator is a Yolo group haha
As is with dungeons and BGs (although with BGs it takes anyone). The fact there’s more DPS than healers in queue will turn this into an issue beyond 2s. I’m not saying you won’t get fast queue times, but lower pop servers and off time players, and your average DPS will probably see roughly 10 minute queue times on an average (sure beats 45 minutes like some LFRs take).
You’ll have to specify MMORPGs with ranked PvP that have random queues and we can discuss that.
MMORPG - Massively multiplayer online role-playing game. When exactly was the last time you role played this game? Otherwise it’s an MMO like LoL
One thing I’d like to point out that often gets left out of solo queue conversations is that solo queues address the “ships passing in the night” problem, where people who’d happily play with each other are posting to the LFG tool and sifting through available groups, but simply not running into each other just by dumb luck with timing on refreshes, terms used in ad text differing from what people actually search for, etc. It gives a way to perfectly align intent that doesn’t exist in the free-form group finder and eliminates an entire class of errors that stand in the way of groups forming.
First, LoL is a MOBA which is an entirely different genre of game.
I’m not going to compare chicken to pork.
Second, I asked someone else who responded to me so I’m going to wait for that.
It would still be left to the players because once you hit a solo queue ceiling like in apex you hit a solo queue ceiling around diamond, then you’ll have to group up with comps that work to get higher. This allows us to not only get better at the game through reps but introduces us to players at our rating that may fit together comps wise. And we can choose to group and push that way.
