Bringing up Sub PvE in a thread about Legion redesigns, on the arena forums, in a thread started by a Subtlety PvP main since 2005, is in poor taste and u should know better

The problems with sub has absolutely nothing to do with tuning and everything to do with playstyle
I have mained Sub since I started in 2005 and have never rerolled once in my life. Trust me, there is absolutely nothing about tuning that is part of the complaints and everything about playstyle and philosophy
i’d like to see them bring back mop sub except do some trickery to make garrote unusable on a kill target. everything else is fine but people who want to stun stun stun into silence silence can choke
The first thing that needs to happen though is PvP Sub needs a build with static 1min CD Dance, no CDR for tunneling (incentivize restealths not uptime), and full strength Find Weakness windows
Then it needs actual timers to manage (SnD and Rupture) while disrupting and pooling for FW burst
Prot Paladin is incredibly fun to play. There are a few minor adjustments I would make to certain talents, and I feel like the spec is overly nerfed in PVP, but the playstyle and options to customize that playstyle are great.
i’d also say that 2part resource management like
chi/energy
CP/energy
rune/runic power
and mechanics that interact dynamically with other interactions that can change the way you play moment by moment or your ‘rotation’ in different scenarios is IMO what the aim for most specs should be
designs like i have rune so i press scourge strike until i dont have rune then i press deathcoil
or i press mutilate over and over and over until i can envenom
are extremely boring
dual resources are great when both are meaningful, but yeah when they let rp and energy attacks become universally meaningless they kind of fade back and the class becomes a single resource snooze 100% based on combo points or runes. the idea behind sub’s secret technique is cool, but i think making it a builder instead of a spender would be more interactive, a la goremaw’s bite
they could make fist of the white tiger do meaningful damage, in the same vein
