We want RDF

Actually a really really good compromise. Best I’ve seen offered so far.

Was going to respond to him in this thread on how RDF encourages World of Queuecraft but I chose not to because whenever I feel like I argue with Anti-RDFers, their rose tinted goggles is way too fogged up and glued to their head while also having their ears plugged.

Agreed. It makes 0 sense. Apparently rdf being implemented would somehow dissolve all of these mentioned “social connections” I’ve said it once I’ll say it again. The only people who don’t want rdf are those who are self aware enough to know they have a horrible personality but not enough to change it. I suspect they know these “social connections “ are based off of proximity alone. Like that one dude in your guild you tolerate but nobody hangs out with. They know if people have a healthy alternative than “the people right here next to me on this smol server” then they will get left in the dust. For me and my pals, well I respect them, I respect their time, I want rdf because it is a good system to allow people who actually have jobs/kids/ real life responsibilities to spend the 2 hours they get to play per day the way they want. If you want to spend an hour forming a group, go for it. For everyone else that doesn’t equate WoW success to real life success- we just wanna play a video game with our friends.

Having a different experience than you doesnt mean i dont play.

Tell me have you actively joined groups for stuff you didnt need just to help other people get it done?

That is probably the #1 way i have made social connections.

Ive seen the opposite. People who want rdf cant seem to make enough friends to do a single dungeon.

And if you’re telling me you can jump on any of your characters on any realm and get a group regardless of time of day level role etc… then you are lying.

That would be a lie. And i never said it.

I dont have the network of social connections i have made on any realm. I might be able to convince enough people i know to go goof off and lvl a character on another realm with enough people to do dungeons, but then again, you really only need 2 people to do most dungeons.

So by this logic undesirable group partners would be weeded out into rdf. Which would benefit you and your “social connections” because people who don’t want that would be in rdf. Explain to me how that is a bad thing - according to your own logic of course. And that is awesome for you, some people don’t have that luxury. Sounds like implementing rdf wouldn’t affect you at all. Curious.

You’re the one claiming your magically social connections are a replacement for RDF.

I guess you are now admitting that was a lie.

Those of us that want RDF are probably already listing ourselves and waiting in dalaran for a summon. The only difference is now I’m going to wait for you to summon me, and its going to take long enough for my “queue” to pop that I probably get bored and log out before there are 5 ppl in the LFG tool that can satisfy a group. In addition to that, I’m skipping all 5 man content on alts and going straight into gdkps because cba to wait forever to do 5mans. Atleast if there was RDF I’d be doing most of a world tour before jumping into raids.

The guy is like someone who just learned to argue, constantly changing the self narrative and moving the goal posts. Now dungeons only really require 2 people so rdf isn’t needed, I wonder what other ludicrous take they will have next. It has become incredibly obvious no anti-rdf individuals have a leg to stand on. Wish blizzard would wisen up.

Social connections take time to make. You cant instantly join a new server and have them already.

Having social connections can remove the “need” of rdf. But you dont get them with the snap of your fingers. You want all the benifits of having a strong social network with none of the effort put in.

Try making the group instead of waiting for someone else to invite you. Makes a big difference in wait times.

It’s amazing to me that this is still going on months later. Maybe there’s some way to give RDF to the people that want it and not make it a requirement for everyone?

This doesn’t help level 49s trying to make a group for dungeons when nobody is on the lfg tool or replying to lfg….especially those than can only play late night. Ugh, have you ever considered a point of view from someone other than yourself.

I would also bet most anti-rdf people aren’t doing much group content to begin with while claiming they are doing a ton and making the game better by constantly helping people. People that wouldn’t need helping if RDF was in anyways.

Never said rdf wasnt needed because you can 2 man dungeons, just stated a fact you CAN 2 man dungeons. Heck with the right class/spec/gear/player skill you can solo dungeons that are your level. Having a group just makes it faster/easier.

But you keep turning what i said into strawman arguments i guess.

Just going based off your post history, or should I not judge people based off their actions and what they say? Is there a different way?

You can also 24 man Naxx, your raid team does it every week while carrying you thru it.

No, if it’s not a guild group I usually don’t care enough to do dungeons. If I can’t queue I will just skip them altogether and go to gdkps. The only dungeons I do are VH’s for lavanthors on alts, and even then I generally queue up and wait 5min then log and do something else because the LFG tool is empty. Additionally, if the LFG tool doesn’t have enough people to fill a group when I list myself, it doesn’t matter if I start the group or not, there isn’t 5 people of suitable roles trying to do the dungeon at the time. I absolutely won’t spam trade to fill a group when the RDF tool could exist.

Because of people like you simply trolling to keep RDF out of wotlk I’m going to skip 5mans on all toons for all phases and I’ll join a GDKP instead. This both lowers the pool of players you can choose from, and gets me gold in the process, so I guess win/win in this anti-rdf world you are pushing for.
