Blizz is trying to fix a big problem internally that blew up in their face in August.
Given that they can never fix long running issues like class imbalance, boring treadmill like content, faction imbalance to name a few, the only thing they can change with regard to sexual harassments allegations is very low hanging fruit >>> like altering paintings, maps, removing certain emotes and quest titles.
IMO the selection of the changes are also motivated by relative cheap costs to change them.
These changes are to gain a 
checkmark for an executive who is responsible for âchanging the cultureâ. They can say âwe removed X number of inappropriate items in the gameâ. Then they can get their big bonus that we fund with our subscriptions.
Donât be willfully ignorant by trying to minimize the actual context and implication here. Use some common sense.

Youâre missing the point in that we, the players, didnât actually do anything to deserve this sudden bleaching of the game. Its a huge knee-jerk response by the company due to the toxicity within themselves. Essentially taking it out on players by trying to cleanse and remake WoW into this G rated shell.

/kiss -Kissing someone just has to be sexual?
/bite- This can be sexualized right?
/flirt - Oh we canât have this it must be delete right?
/belch- This has to be a rude one right?
/fart- Hmm too offensive?
/chicken- This can be offensive as it demonizes chickens.
/Cuddle- Oh we canât have this one it is sexual right?.
/Flex- We have to get rid of this one it sexualizes males.
/gloat- It is has to be rude to gloat of misfortunes of others. We can delete this one.
/Highfive- Oh we canât have this one it is offensive to high five someone in 2021.

/Massage- Sexual content delete delete.

This is just the beginningâŚnoâŚa lot of changes after. Remember Jaina and Sucuubus cards inHearthstone? Got changed or covered up to comply with China. Next paintings, and the lack of sexy mogs in the game as of late. Were going in a direction where everything will be censored.

There was talk today on a stream that they are looking at toning down a bunch of stuff in the game that the woke folks do not like. Like female chars running around with all armor slots empty, changes to the succubus and more. It was only what a streamer said he heard, but it would not surprise me.

People who are downplaying the harassment women receive in game are either doing it themselves, complicit in the toxic culture and/or not not female gamers.
Letâs be honest, GD tends to represent the most vocal and toxic segments of the gameâs population. Itâs far from an accurate sample of how most players think and feel.

Itâs true. If people acted in game the way they act here I probably would have quit long ago.
Iâve been playing WoW for 16 years. Iâve interacted with thousands of players in this game. I have never once known anyone I have ever met in this game be offended by anything that was in it.

WoW community mirrors Blizzard HQ and itâs culture, if any women voiced their concern, their âfriendsâ will ridicule her for it.
