worst “community” ive ever seen lol so toxic and angry compared to retail
Ironic, considering that it is the retail players like yourself throwing around personal attacks. I have nothing against you. All I ask is that you keep the discussion on track: What about this change will prevent botting and why should that harm the way I play the game in such a severe way?
Most people that I know hate this change, I personally have a 60 warrior 60 rogue 57 shaman 47 warlock and rn leveling a 32 mage which i am spamming dungeons with, at some point I was like, okay i am close to the dungeon cap per realm, now what? I aint gonna level with just questing just like I did for my other 3 high lvl characters, going back to retail? I already have 8 120s and 473+ ilvl over there.
Blizzard is gating content once again which is the primary problem on retail at this time with the daily visions, the mementos, weekly caches, weekly cloak upgrade, hence why I quit Retail 1 month ago and recently on sunday i came to play classic and boom on tuesday they already nerf stuff that helps for farming and leveling lol. Blizzard should deal with the bots and not punish players nor create some sort of ceiling where they cant get thru until the next day, just as it is on retail.
Hard to have multiple alts and deal with this limit. PLEASE rescind it. There are better ways to deal with bots, this was just the LAZIEST and CHEAPEST attempt at doing so…
You could of at the very least made it easy to see and understand how many instances/resets we have - but you couldnt even include a timer/counter.
Maybe put a little more effort into your fixes. Lotus prices havent even changed. All these classic updates no benefit to the average player.
I know wow used to easily stop botters…
It won’t stop bots and it will get in the way of people trying to minmax the game.
That said, people trying to minmax the game are terrible people so I don’t really care.
That said, these terrible people have communities and not listening to them will make a lot of people leave or simply not take the game as seriously anymore.
Which means less login queues and less layers, which is okay.
Honestly, I don’t think this really does anything other than add a contrived additional restriction on the game, ruining the integrity of the game, making private servers feel more authentic for a lot of players.
I agree, not only is this bad for players hitting 60 and farming for critical pre-raid BIS, it hammers Feral Druids and will make nature resist farming significantly more difficult. (This doesn’t even touch jump runs for TF mats and other issues)
Blizzard this was ill advised. Please reconsider and reverse it.
If you want to fix the botting problem, fix the supply side of the economics. The supply of gold isn’t the issue at this point, it’s the failed supply in the open world with servers 4+ times the size they were intended on being spawn rate wise.
Want to fix the botters? Flood the market with supplies. Quadruple the spawns of RTVs and BLs. Up the drop rates of key items for consumables. Crash the market to make it hard for these guys to make gold off the AH.
Heck, implement a server wide gold cap of like 25-50k. Just about anything other than this is a good idea, not sure how the hell this got past the stinking water cooler test.
I tried a similar argument yesterday. It didn’t work. Apparently, the forum is the majority voice and 30% to 40% of Classic players run 30 or more instances in a day. I guess anecdotal evidence rules the day.
It’s been statiscally proven, time and time again that maybe, at most, 5% of the playerbase is active on the forums. And just so you know, I’m on your side of the arguement, I just don’t want one person to think they can speak for me and for the entire community. Everyone’s individual voice should be heard.
Okay, and? The point was agreement or disagreement means nothing here. This j-hole isn’t allowed to speak for me. Plenty of other folks that don’t want to be spoken for. This post was pompous and obnoxious.
Rather then argue the point, you take a cheap shot and make a flat out untrue insinuation about my life, when you have no clue. Fairly typical. Plenty of people, myself included have jobs, and other things that take up our time, but we’re still about to play how we like.
