We need wow token, here is why:

The gold farming websites employ the use of mages to sell boosting services that are wildly popular.

People are buying gold from these website sponsored boosters. Gold buying is super meta. I know of at least eight people who mentioned they are doing it.

With all non instanced portions of the world nearly impossible to farm due to server populations, people have resorted to simply buying gold.

Ps-

Banning gold buyers would fix population issues. I suspect the amount of people doing it is alarmingly high.

I think Blizzard likes gold farmers.

If an actual person is playing an account, farming gold, and giving it to someone that’s selling they should probably be banned right alongside the gold sellers themselves.

That being said I think the overwhelming portion of gold coming in illegitimately is from bots. I’d rather see them get taken care of first.

Wow tokens solve this problem entirely.

I am slowly coming around to this. In my last guild I heard several talking about buying gold and they were always buying this for big gold and bragging (sub level 60 highest char) So you can say it will blow the AH prices up but we already have it so I would not think the change would be much.

Why do I get the feeling the OP is a blizzard employee trying to plant the seed of tokens to squeeze yet more revenue out of classic?

No, we don’t.

It would have benefits.

Quell the bots by killing the black market.
Paying for sub with token.

But it should be priced for Classic.
Say 50 to 100 gold?

How much do you think?

i just dont understand why people would spent RL money to buy in game gold

it makes no sense to me

No, you do not “need” the WoW token. You and about 95% of the human population need to look up the definition of need.

Hire support staff, ban gold buyers and sellers. That’s the solution that doesn’t compromise the game.

I hope they all get banned for this too.

How did that work out for retail?

How is that a benefit? That just artificially causes even more people to farm more gold into the economy, and inflation is ALREADY at ludicrous levels as it is.

Exactly. Spend some of the windfall that classic and the kung flu created.

There was some discussion last year, not long after the launch of Classic as to whether one could trade their Retail gold for Classic gold.

This effectively means that we already have WoW Tokens in Classic, with the caveat, that it involves player to player interaction across different client versions of WoW, and should something go awry, Blizzard will likely be unable to assist.

no it doesn’t
all it does is make the gold cheaper, but not too cheap for the gold sellers to operate
it mitigates the problem at best

Stop ruining the last bastion of wow vanilla with your idiotic retail suggestions.

Bots do not get banned, blizz loves them gold sellers and instead of hating on that you think the best way to tackle it is to let the wow token ruin classic.

Layering, tokens… absolute yikes. Blizz already ruined so much about classic with their “ideas” and out of nowhere people appear in a judas-esque fashion and knife you in the back by giving blizzard even worse ideas on how to ruin the game even further.

Stop it please.

I’m lousy at earning Gold. I just want to learn all my skills.

The beauty of the game is that there is adversity in it and that you cannot do everything as the average joe player but instead have to work together with people to accomplish what you want. Earning enough gold for skills, mounts, raiding is a perfect example of this. Just because a player might have problems with it now does not mean Blizzard should remove the learning opportunity by putting in tokens. Earning gold is ludicrously easy as any class as is already, so let’s not make it even easier
