We need Void Elf paladins. Makes no sense not to have them

And if it’s already broken, at this point, what’s the harm in adding VE Paladins?

Because it is not broken to the point of incoherency, the “harm” is that they’d literally explode, Paladins are not priests. I’d expect a “paladin” to understand how being one works…

First off, Void Elves already have eight classes they can choose from so no they do not need the paladin class.

Secondly, it makes perfect sense not to have Void Elf Paladin given Void Elves are void and paladins are light and put together explode. (Don’t bring priests into it, priest use the light, they aren’t infused with it like Paladins.)

Thirdly, the point of the ‘high elf’ appearance is so people can role-play a high elf, not so people can role-play a high elf paladin.

Fourthly, these are only appearances, the race is still Void Elf, not High Elf. (If you want real High Elves, start lobbying for them.)

Don’t whine, it’s unattractive and embarrassing.

That’s debatable.

Something something Alleria

Something something Sunwell chaos

But established lore narratives are not. All paladins operate under a source of Light, even the Trolls as Re’zan is apparently a sun god of sorts. Xe’ra with Alleria is a prime example of why no Void Elf would ever be a Holy priest/Paladin.

They do well due to working with the community instead of trying to tell the community what to do. You don’t get the wowdad vibe with those games. (imho)

I humbly disagree, people can ask for things if they are a customer, up to Ds to use honest approach to see if those requests are feasible and can be incorporated into the game, unlike they have in the past. (imho)

While it’s okay to ask, the devs have stated they absolutely do not want to add straight up High Elves in game due to Blood Elves and duplicity, and this is the reason they’ve stated for adding the BE customizations to VEs. I doubt they’ll do paladins.

And like I already stated this can all be changed easily through the lore. Blizzard has done it before they can do it again.

No, it cannot, I doubt the staff of Blizzard even remotely wants to try that, for the same reasons they’re leaving Arthas alone. If your TV is broken, are you one of those people who drags it out back and utterly destroys it with a baseball bat? Rather than fix it?

Aren’t void elves just exiled blood elves? So… they should be able to use paladins, should they not?

I agree totally, but it is their job to try to get as close to the request as possible with the players mindset, Especially giving one side something the other side didn’t get, I feel we can all agree allot the decisions made were based off other motives other then a honest approach to the current situation that has lingered for over a decade.

face palm No, that’s the point I’m making here, Alleria literally cannot touch a source of Light without it: A) exploding, or B) being corrupted.

This is outright stupidity, just look at the pandaren, they are the exact same race in the two factions, no one would care if there is HE in the alliance with the same racials as the BEs, well, maybe to a minority of players, but they don’t put up enough money for Blizzard to listen to them.

And are Pandaren riddled with Void to their core? No? That’s a poor comparison then…

Forsaken are undead, their SOULS are loosely connected to their bodies by shadow magic, which is a DILUTED form of Void energy, the reason it is “painful” is that the Shadow magic tether is briefly thinned causing their souls to more thoroughly connect with their bodies, this manifests as a “burning, rotting” feeling as the undead feels both the process of their body decomposing AND the burning the light has on said shadow magic tether/their undead flesh.

If it causes pain to someone very superficially infused with Shadow magic (from using it externally as a priest), what do you think it’d do to a race who is thoroughly infused with straight up VOID magic down to their core?

And Forsaken cannot use Light without suffering and pain. Yet Alonsus Faol managed to use a resurrection spell on Calia Menethil and I don’t recall him moaning about it.

The race changes from High Elves alone would lead to record revenue from the game I bet. You need to come to Moonguard, lots of “high elves” already.

is that an invitation? :smirk:
but sorry, my english is not good enough to go do rolplay

Nah just means that lots of void elves have “high elf” in their RP profile.
