In this one, but not all of them, and in this one there’s a number of instances where it doesn’t make sense. Having that expanded as playable customization options would be a nice thing.
Or a priest that learns to fight martially, ex Turalyon.
No one should get anything new until there are Gnome Druids.
Feisty little wobbling bears rampaging across the land…
Razor clawed kittens slashing and pouncing everywhere…
Owl babies pew pewing everything in sight…
I believe if you are attuned with Druidic nature or elemental nature you can’t be a Paladin. It’s why Tauren are the only race that can be Druid shaman or Paladin, it makes 0 sense they conflict
I keep seeing the arguments of “well the lore already sucks so they should do this” – which kind of self-admittance that it doesnt make any sense for void elves to be paladins.
On top of that – if your idea is simply make the lore worse because you dont like it, then why are you arguing about the lore anyways?
I always found it amusing that elves were the secret link to keeping the void in check and “mastering” its power. When it’s taken down civilizations, Titan Keepers, Dragons, ect. ELVES. ELVES WERE THE MISSING LINK.
Void is not intended for this purpose, unless it helps it consume life.
Void cure? Void protects? No. Only normal blood elves can be paladins.
Any paladin uses Light. Tauren, blood elves, humans, draenei, zandalar use holy powers of Light.
Purple blood elves? They cannot use Light and void does not heal or restore vitality.
How is it unfair? It makes perfect sense to not have VE Paladins.
If we had High Elves as a faction then i might be able to agree with you but i hardly would look on Void Elf Paladins as being realistic in any ways, especially given the problems Turalyon and Alleria have because she is a VE and he is a Paladin.
They will continue not to be paladins.
Like purple blood elves they will still not be High Elves.
It would be another compromise to pretend to have something purple blood elves aren’t.
Another corruption. Another placebo.
priests contradicting the idea they can’t be paladins aside, they’ve severely weakend paladin lore since cata, opening it up to pretty much any power source.
blood elves use the sunwell, not the light directly
tauren use the sun, not the light
zandalari use dinosaurs - not even sure how this one works.
Something along the lines of “they use the void in the same way we use the light!” isn’t very far fetched with current writing.
Not really trying to argue for void elf paladins, I just like to rag on how far the lore has fallen anyway.
Holy just means they’re devoted to a religion or god.
All of the things I’ve mentioned as sources of power that various forms of paladin could wield are applicable. Each cosmic force has higher begins that one could pledge themselves to. What is holy is all about perspective.
It may be a more recent thing, but in D&D it looks like a paladin can be any alignment.
I’m just all about variety and options. More ways to customize your character is a good thing.
I wouldn’t be opposed to any nature themed paladins.
A paladin following Elune would be a paladin devoted to a goddess of Life. Night elven paladins are well over due.
I’m wondering if that’s not going to turn out to be the same for Tauren.
An’she may be another god of Life that uses light based abilities. I’m wondering if this might help explain Eonar, an arcane being that uses life magic.
Also not sure what you’re saying conflicts there.
What problems? They seem to complement each other quite nicely.
