A follow-up from We need different class designers for Monk
According to mythicstats the top 2000 M+ keys last week for monk specs are:
1.7% for windwalker monks
The performance for windwalker in raid is also very low.3.9% for brewmaster monks6.2% for mistweaver monks
The performance for mistweaver in raid is also very low.
Among all key ranges:
3.6% for windwalker monks7.4% for brewmaster monks (lowest class of all tanks)10.3% for mistweaver monks (second lowest class of all healers)
These numbers all largely down from the last thread which I posted.

I may agree with your statement, but i dont get the data are you showing.
So there is 39 specs, if im not wrong the balanced representation per spec should about 2.5% in cases of the 3 spec classes is 7.7%? so the monk is over represented? is possible that i dont understand your data.

I would suggest checking out mythicstats first as it will normalize role specs here. There aren’t for example 39 “Tank” specs so 3.9% is devastatingly low, and these numbers are per role, so…
- MW
6.2% out of 7 possible healers (14% would represent even representation )
- WW
1.7% out of 26 possible dps (3.8% would represent even representation )
- Brew
3.9% out of 6 possible tanks (16% would represent even representation )
Which may suggest that MW and WW are behind an even representation by 56%.
Which may suggest that Brewmaster is behind even representation by 76%.

Honestly, it’s so disheartening trying to get into keys as a 2800 MW. No one will take me.
I’d rather them just delete the entire class and refund me crests and transfer gear at this point. It’s beyond frustrating that they can see over 70% of healers in m+ be dominated by ONE spec, and they’re like, yes this is good… HELLO??

I’d argue that monk needs an auditor first as opposed to more of the creative genius that brought us crap like Jade Walk. There is a lot of things that could be done to the talent trees to make monk stronger as a whole as well as condensing talent points to make space for useful things.
SBT, DoCJ, and Invoker’s (hell throw giga CJLs in there now that MW has it) could all be moved onto the main monk tree. There’s space there as there is a lot of filler/bloat that could be deleted or baselined. There’s a lot of old monk stuff that would make for very impactful tools. One thing that comes to mind is old Zen Meditation where it was a 90% DR and it redirected damage to you. So basically a 90% group DR that every monk could have.

I’d second this as brew. They cannot manage the number of classes they have, and haven’t tried to manage M+ brew for years.
My concern isn’t crests as much as its that I have gotten a mythic track item every week of mythic+ thus far (including week 1), and that’s giving up a lot. I’d feel a lot better about reluctantly switching to “Meta” if either you could get the highest track in some high key level.
I just want a Monk Dev that loves Monk in the way the current MW dev loves MW.

We need monk designers… period. Don’t think we have any at the moment. Maybe the Microsoft CEO can donate a little bit of that 76 million dollar bonus he just got and hire a couple of class designers.

Its currently Really Sad as a M+ lover i enjoy Doing high keys 13+ as pug but right now there just no way people take you from Lfg ele/assasination/dk do just to much dmg. Yes ik i could get a team but i enjoy the trill of pug up to title as WW Master of copium
