I doubt it considering I havenāt been able to max out engineering since Legion. They keep wanting me to run out and do more crap to get more recipes and then I have to go farm the materials for it and unfortunately, most of the high-end stuff usually calls for a special kind of material thatās very rare and few and far between. And then when you have to craft X amount to actually get the highest quality one I need X amount of rare crafting quality material to do that which means gathering more material and making more of the basic version. To be honest, I canāt even be asked. I have all the important crap I need from engineering thanks to the first five expansions. The rest of them can just burn in a blaze of glory.
Filling out the entire tree is pointless. I didnāt fill out any of the trees in Dragonflight and donāt plan to fill out any trees this expansion. I can still make anything I want, for myself or others.
In fact, itās EASIER to do so in TWW than in Dragonflight, due to Concentration.
Catch up to whom? The people youāre trying to ācatch upā to ARENāT EVEN DOING PATRON ORDERS ANYMORE because they already have all the points theyāll ever need.
I appreciate the sentiment and the advice, but I just donāt have it in me anymore to deal with professions. I make sure I take mining and engineering and level them to wherever they need to be to use all the really cool toys and then I leave it all alone. Plus, letās face it if player housing is a bust and the expansion doesnāt get any better. this will probably be the last one for me before I finally leave the game after what will then be 20 years.
As someone who has master of all in most expansions, I have been a profession lover since TBC and itās been one of the things I love most about WoW - but coming back after leaving during SL, this new system seems really confusing.
Iāve been back a week and it seems overwhelming to max all my characters professions as I used to and the truth is I still donāt have a deep understanding of it.
geez I just got told by someone on here 2 days ago they started late and caught up in no time.
It is a lot less costly to get knowledge points now so you really arenāt that far behind most others because people couldnāt afford to do all the patron orders for months. I still donāt do most, especially blacksmith
I have no idea what you are talking about - you only get points for a first time craft of any recipes regardless of rank produced. You donāt get more points for producing recipes at each different rank.
Why is it that people with tens of thousands of posts more often than not come across as complete jerks? Does it give you some kind of dopamine hit to belittle others and dismiss their concerns like this? Seriously, you good? If youāre working through something, do you need help? If you are goodā¦ and thatās unlikely based on your repliesā¦ maybe try treating people with a bit more respect. Just a thought.
Iām just tired of people whining about what victims they are, when theyāre nothing of the sort, because it just encourages similar defeatist behavior from others.
So you donāt have as many KP as you could. Neither do most people, because they stop bothering with them a couple weeks after starting. Youāll be fine.
So why reply? If youāre ātired of itā why give it the time of day? You knew EXACTLY what type of post this was going to be by the titleā¦ youāre tired of this type of postā¦ yet here you are.
Stop being a jerk, itās a simple as that. Do better.
So that people who arenāt the OP know that they donāt have to give up on professions just because āsomebody elseā has a couple more knowledge points than them.
Itās a public service announcement for everyone else. Thatās how you fight disinformation. You point out when people are full of it.
