Pretty sure the people who make changes have no clue what to do. Not hyped for the new expansion. Just gonna be a bunch of garbage and not gonna help shaman at all.

A nerf no one asked for not even other classes and they state it was for accessibility, were so accessible in the local trash can with the rest of the rubbish. This wasn’t a minor change this was collosal in that it can be 30-40% depending on certain conditions

I had to do this at the end of Legion and now I have to do it again at the end of SL? I guess if that is what Blizzard wants…

surely, a 450+ response thread and a 160+ response and counting thread at least warrants a response from the devs…right? 
Just revert the 20 stack nerf and keep the stacks resetting on button press as a decent compromise. Right now 10 stacks feels like a snail’s pace after what we’ve been used to for the longest time and it really makes the storm elemental talent feel and perform massively worse in all situations for seemingly no reason.

Blizzard has always been stubborn with class balance (unless it’s mage) and the shaman dps specs have always got the short end of the stick. I am absolutely dumbfounded Enhancement hasn’t gotten obliterated yet.
Shhhhh so long as they forgot things like arcane and enhancement even exist they won’t nerf them into oblivion

Such change. I havent even reached point when I could possibly get “unaccessible” build, but already nerfed hard.

The rhetoric in this thread is repeating itself over and over. Becoming increasingly toxic here. Many people have narrow one minded opinions and willingly disregarding any statement not directly aligned with their mindset. (Pretty selfish and has zero chance for constructive growth.)
This thread needs to be locked to prevent further discord from being sewn amongst players. (The constructive arguments made in regards to OP topic had been met with extreme hostility and toxicity.) Going as far as hurling insults or using inappropriate language, (words) to attempt to bully others into their one track mindset or intimidate them enough to drown out their opinion.
What constructive arguments there hasn’t been and big players in the elemental community have re rolled, thread is still very much on topic but you are more than welcome to go elsewhere if you do not like it, no one is forcing you to stay and read it.
700 responses over multiple threads all condemning this change and iterating that no one asked for it aswell has all but proved it wasn’t for ‘accessibility’ issues combined with the fact that the class discord is livid over this change.

lol, they do balance changes all the time - and you can’t know that no one asked for that to happen either.
Balance changes are balance changes a balance change is when blizzard goes ‘this gets nerfed because it’s too powerful or buffed because it’s too weak’
Blizzard stated this was due to accessibility concerns and then made a change so big that it quite possibly could be the single biggest nerf in the history of the game for a class that struggled to be high range to begin with
No, the thread needs replied to by a blue and their stance made known to end it.
You should be embarrassed to play a game where devs willingly nerf a mid-tier spec by such a large amount the weekend before mythic opens, simply stating “accessibility concerns” as the reasoning.
Furthermore, nerfs to a spec’s base toolkit due to a borrowed power that no one was happy with on the PTR from the get go and provided feedback that this would happen, which was ignored, should also infuriate you.

Have you played the storm elemental build? I did a few times in bfa and it hurt my hand so freakin hard man. I can totally believe them changing it for accessibility reasons, that was gonna be carpal tunnel speedrun material right there.

pretty unbelievable there still isn’t a fix to this accidental nerf. No doubt they will at the very least respond to the players today right?.. right?
Have you played a fury warrior or demon Hunter or fire mage? Or any modern tank or hell a tank back on spine of deathwing? They all have far higher APM and carpal tunnel risks and none of that was changed. Nor was any buff applied elsewhere to compensate for an “accessibility adjustment”
This wasn’t an accessibility change it was a flat nerf and they simply lied about why
