elemental has always been slow though - those others not so people with problems would have steered away from those to begin with - not after they leveled and gear it up.
although I don’t recall fire mage being in the same category as a DH or warrior tbh.
Fire mage juggles and out of GCD rotation and an in GCD rotation during combust it’s actually quite nuts
Actually yeah, mained fury for most of this expansion and have dabbled in dh, i still say the storm ele thing was worse on my hands and the main reason i refused to play it.
i never noticed - but then I only play in a manner comfortable for me not to beat someone on the dps meter
Then I have doubts you’ve played fury or havoc correctly, both of them have higher requirements than elemental even if you were rocking a four set, with fury being significantly higher.
You still haven’t addressed dumpstering the entire class over it
You haven’t addressed anything else either such as other roles absolutely destroying elementals APM needs such as being a warrior tank in m+ and none of them are being “adjusted into a flaming trashcan”

Mate, it’s one talent. In general I would say fast = fun. Early Legion S2M Spriest was incredible for that exact reason, so I’d imagine Shamans were enjoying their 0.6 second cast times. But if one overtuned talent brings you from A to F, there’s other issues that need resolved, and keeping the blatantly broken talent as-is isn’t the right answer.
(although Blizzard is very bad at making the other needed changes when they do things like this)

It is the only talent that keeps us m+ viable and it is the only talent that keeps us propped up in single target, that’s why it’s a big deal.
Things they could of done including but not limited too
Buff lvb to make up for single target loss, buff the damage/maelstrom gain on CHL to make up for aoe loss ( but this wasn’t about accessibility so yknow)
Buff competing talents so you had a choice which one you go for and aren’t locked into it
Could of locked us to a min of a 1 sec gcd for cast time which would of been a mostly insignificant nerf that no one but the 0.01 percent would of given a damn about
Made an entirely new set bonus instead of throwing the talent into the trash and with it the entire spec

“We removed Gust of Wind because it’s too close to a Mage’s blink.”
- Lets Druids keep their Wild Charge
- Gives everyone a blink in Shadowlands via Covenant
You really have to play like someone’s playing whack-a-mole with classes and not care.
Because Blizzard certainly doesn’t. Their balance team has sucked ostrich eggs for the past 10 years.

Why use many word when few do trick?

Maybe they would take you more seriously if you were less melodramatic?

Blizzard always seemed close knit and sensitive about the happiness of the mage playerbase and that always bothered me.
Unless it’s arcane mages, they tend to be told to go pound sand
yea know the funny thing is whenever they set ele up to spam 1 key the decide they dont like … why do you think we dont see ascendence anymore? because all you did in that window wa press lava burst. it was was just pressing lava burst very fast trying to keep with the insta procs and very quick casts… now we have a Storm ele lightning bolt again and they dont like it.
I have played ele, fury, and DK swappin between them since the release of WoW. never once even when the specs were fast paced did my finger ever hurt. the SE build did not make them hurt. why you ask? because you can press a key really fast without smashing your fingers into the keyboard. its very easy. you just press fast. you dont need to mash the keyboard. if you do have that issue and dont know how to fix it you have some solutions. you can put that super fast ability on your scroll wheel and just spin that thing fast. no smashing required. you can make a macro to spam the ability, you can use 2 keys to help not smash one button.
I personally liked the SE build. I was looking forward to not having to play the MOTE/IF build that we have been playing for years. ele has had many different play styles over the years and this was a nice change.
hoping we get changes today… or at least some communication from blizz on this disaster.
I just hope they’re thinking of giving us a buff for the lost damage and it doesn’t come out for 9.2.5.

Well noone asks for nerfs lol
I’m OK with capping stacks at 10 but they need to revert the reset when you cast Storm Ele again while one is active. That was the fun part for me. I was looking forward to playing with the build in M+ and Raiding. I prefer SE to FE for aesthetic reasons and the playstyle fits my head canon for Ele Shaman.
I was a little disappointed when I saw the Tier Bonus’ were tied to Lava Burst. I would have preferred the 4P Bonus to trigger on Overloads instead of Lava Surge procs. It would have been more useful for all the builds. /shrug
I hope we see some Buffs when the tuning pass comes out. Maybe a Buff to Lightning Bolt damage.
They would have to buff LB/CL dmg as well as maelstrom generation with each cast. There is no reason why they couldnt have allowed a macro to let you HOLD a button down so it would keep casting until you release…for increased accessibility.

There are plenty of reasons why they’d never do that.
Chain lightning is still gimped with hidden modifier that reduces the mastery by a factor of 0.33 to reduce the # of CL overloads from mastery. Do you remember the days when mastery was strong for ele and we would overload like crazy with our CL? This was before earthquake and our only aoe was spam CL.
