Agree, we have more paths now, but the choices aren’t much choices if i’m being honest.
Hopefully.
Some of them can be moved around to make better choices, so the next feedback post will be towards that.
Just gotta see what can be moved where… tomorrow.
Rebirth for anything else than Guardian Druid is a 2 sec cast.
Soulstone is also a base cast of 3 sec(reduced by haste, at 34% haste it’s 2.2 sec)
Are you saying those are bad designs too? Because they are literally the same.
It’s nothing but consistent with how it was implemented before exception made of OG Hero class whose double resources are not mirrored quite in the same way the other classes are.
They’re not DPSing or healing either when they cast that so please do tell what’s your point?
They are all the same so if you’re going to call it “bad design” for pally you need to be consistent and call it bad all around, because AGAIN they are all the SAME SPELL doing the EXACT SAME THING.
I mean engi brez also has a cast time and people are going out of their way on classes with no brez to get that, EVEN melees…
Imagine the uptime I just gained not walking to a corpse in a fight with my wheelchair class and instead casting it right from under my target.
Seal of the “___” was reused 10 times in the class tree, even though they aren’t classic seals. I guess they may not want to translate spells multiple times, but nothing about the naming process for paladins makes sense. They are literally just throwing ideas against the wall, hoping something sticks.
I agree, but where do you even start? lol You can tell Paladins were rushed and were just so poorly done from top to bottom.
Hmm… I’m afraid not. It works like this for classes with brez:
DK: requires runic power to use, without it you can’t use the spell. Of course it’s instant but you need 30-50 I remember to use it.
Warlock: Only requires one cast (you can even put it in early).
Druid: In tank it is instant but requires 50 rage to use, in the case of the Feral, Boomy and Rdruid it is cast (although the Rdruid has a spell that he can use to make it instant but he usually uses it to heal or root a enemy).
It’s implemented the same as it is for the other original class. You’re fabricating a problem out of thin air…
Explain it, otherwise what can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without justification to.
I said they are the same, it’s verifiable. 60% health 20% mana
Boomkin takes 2sec cast
Feral takes 2sec cast (most comparable to druid)
Resto takes 2sec cast
Warlock 3 sec cast affected by haste
Point the differences in how they don’t work exactly the same. How are they implemented differently, pray tell.
DK’s are the outlier because casting has never been part of their gameplay which is not true for all the others. If anything, CONTEXT very much pointed toward cast time being the likely “cost” to holy and ret brez.
Like it or not, HoW is a rotational ability, this being a Class Talent eats up utility in the top gate, even though its’ “free” those free points should be utility.
Auras being 2 talents, but can only use 1 at any given time
Both FoJ and Seasoned Warhorse gating the right side of the tree being 2 point talents
Divine Steed eating 4 talents
Our talent tree is very bottom heavy, most talents are in the last 4-5 rows.
Balance, Restoration, and Warlock are all casters. Retribution is a melee spec that does not have cast times. Feral is the only reasonable comparison but they’re not stuck in a wheelchair with a 3.8 speed weapon
This is what I meant when I said “different context”.
“Its consistent except these two classes where its not but that doesn’t count because I said so”
“its okay for DKs to be different but not paladins”
lmao
It is instant, but requires a resource. I forgot to mention “Mmm I’m afraid not quite”, there it was a typing error on the mobile. Still… I don’t see the problem, it’s still like the Warlock, Druid, Dk and now the paladin. They handle the same “Cast” and if not they will cast “require resources to use it” which the latter is worse (in case the DK or Druid tank does not have resources because he is doing mechanics or holding the boss/trash)
Flash of Light says hello, I guess? If you don’t use this as Ret, that’s a little weird. It’s decent for helping with the Bursting and Grievous Wound affixes.
They still don’t attack? They still not doing damage, its the SAME thing.
Weapon speed has literally nothing to do with it nowadays, are you playing classic? lmao
You are wrong, our auto-attacks are a significant portion of our damage right now because of the tier set bonuses
Again, I am not arguing for the value of the battle res. You don’t seem to understand my objection.
It is bad game design to make a melee dps spec with poor mobility and slow attack speed stop everything to cast a 2 sec spell, especially when there are other classes (and another spec on the same class) that can do it instantly. There is no justification for this ability to have a cast time.
The power level of talents vs one another (mainly BoP/BoSW)
The amount of talents spent on just output (for Ret) is too high in this tier.
1- Avenging Wrath
2/3 - Holy Aegis
4/5 - Seal of Reprisal
6/7 - BoSac and Recompense
I agree, Recompense should be removed, but still I think 5 points spent to get more damage is a problem, for this section. As always, these could be points spent on utility and “fun” abilities. (Aura Mastery, Blessings, etc…)
Second, the Power of Blessing of Protection and Blessing of Spellwarding is just to great to pass up in 99.9% of situations, and even could be counted as an “ignore mechanics” output talent.
I wouldnt mind having 5 points to spend on utility if those utility talents are good or at least interesting.
Judgement of Light, Golden Path, etc are all weak and not very exciting.
It really is not when you consider the alternative right now it to walk up to a corpse and do the same 2 sec cast. As I said, for people who were serious and picking up engi for the flex brez, we just gained uptime.
You’re out of your mind if you think that’s not consistent. LMAO
Literally the same spell, reworded for flavor.
Runic power brez is just the exception that confirms the rule.
If they can’t attack (build runic power) they can’t rez.
THAT’S the bad design in my opinion.
Nobody wants to Wake of ashe the air to Brez someone, that’s degenerate gameplay.
You’re lucky they even bothered to give it to pally in the first place.
