love it! I’m just laughing at this small change that has people thinking the world is over lol. its more hysterical as i remember some posting us to stop asking for any buffs cuz they aren’t coming. they came and along came all the snowflakes lol

Dont worry youll get nerfed in icc when the buff makes u do too much damage.

Was the discussion the constant tears every single day for months on end saying the exact same thing?

Huh? You do realize rets are going to be very middle of the pack in icc right? Where are you getting this info that they are top tier blasters? Warriors mages locks dks rogues hunters will all be higher by a large margin.

I just wish the crying stopped, from either side. It’s done, move on. Go ask for buffs for your own class.

Hey and that’s totally fine if that happens. They can just take away the glyph and we can call it even.

No it just took 2 years for the ā€œno changesā€ to classic crowd to get boiled like a frog.

You are clueless.

Correct. It also took the Classic Team abandoning their stance on authenticity.

I’d pat your back but I think you’ve got it covered

It’s a 10-20% dps increase depending on raid buffs.

Which didn’t start with this to be fair. This is in no way the starting point for changes to classic and in the long run is incredibly minor all changes considered.

The previous class changes were nerfs. The one that wasn’t a nerf which comes to mind is when they buffed alliance paladins by giving them the belf paladin ability.

Wait a minute

So the changes didn’t start here and actually began in TBC, got it. It could also have started with same faction BG’s, early guild banks, entire restructure of how WG works, no RDF(please, not a hill im dying on just an example), fiery weapon change specifically because of warrior class interactions, old druid tier innervate interactions, rogue AoE with a low-level item, etc.

Also, and this is opinion on my end, if alliance paladins had not received SoB then that spec would’ve been DOA dps wise outside of diehard ret players. That to me is a buff for sure but it falls more in line to me as a positive balance change that was needed way more than this this change is now. Though I do think this current change is still warranted.

Also I’m prot/holy so I’m not directly benefitting from this as of current.

great great job cry babies … keep destroying the game…

I am not saying I disagree with the SoB change, it had an ulterior motive which I agree with. But it was a buff to alliance paladins.

I don’t disagree, I just don’t know what real relevance it has. If that was a good change and was much more major of a change to how the ret spec played, then why is this change which is relatively minor in comparison drawing such ire? People can blame crying all they want but I highly highly doubt that crying was the catalyst and not internal data blizzard reviews for spec performance and participation.

Ret wasn’t nerfed all of wrath, as some claim, but it was one of the classes that did get changed around and balanced/rebalanced all of OG wrath essentially. It makes sense that it would have issues with performance in content outside of the last patch balancing we are on currently. I don’t have a perfect memory of each patch note but I’m comfortable saying that paladins in general had the most changes through the original wrath expansion, maybe locks and druids had close to an equal amount, but I am unsure.
