I didn’t get arfus either, it was incredibally disappointing.
So it’s only constructive criticism when you do it, everyone else is just whining. Very unbiased.

Hah, that’s basically what I did! Farming raw gold is basically slower than trading as a rule, but that’s because one method is generating gold versus just moving it from one player to another. And more gold being generated is what allows for higher trade prices…of course gold being generated for something like this is immediately being yeeted back into the void once the item’s purchased so it never makes it into the economy, but that’s still the gist of it really.
They should add Arfus as a Lich King drop, it just makes sense

De facto “fomo” is when a zone is designed with lots of collectibles, and then later is nerfed so it is impossible for players to actually kill the mobs that drop them. Take zaralek caverns, where elites that drop rare items can’t be soloed, have a long respawn time, and now despawn within 15 minutes if no one is right there to kill them.

Just remember at a 1% drop chance you should not be expecting to be successful until around 350 attempts. With a weekly lockout that is only 6.simething years if you don’t skip any weeks.
350 attempts on a 1% drop is 97% chance you have 1 or more copies of the item.
100 attempts is a 63% chance you have 1 or more copies of the item.
69 (nice) attempts is a 50% chance.
Arfus is so rare, I called it once after winning it and then forgot I even have it lol
How was it rare? I ended up with over a dozen. Gave most away but near the end there were no takers because everyone had it!
You’re thinking of the wrong thing, Arfus was not able to be traded.

Oh you’re right! I was thinking of the other dog from the other event. Ok, well, looking at it I ended up with I think it was 5 or 6 of Arfus. Tossed the extras out of my bag.
Ouch. I got it 1st kill on Normal. Didnt even realise it was rare until I came to the forum and saw the complaints.
They need to make these things a rare drop AND on a vendor where it’s either 50,000g or 200 holiday currency or w/e the prices are normally.
