True and other changes include Thrall properly riding Snowsong instead of a random black wolf and jungle stalkers are now bog beasts.
Well, they were still related to Elementals in WCIII. They were some sort of undead merged with elemental spirits.
Though they seem to be pure elementals these days.
Finally, we have Night elf models. Thatâs pretty much every model in the game now, except for the male versions of death knights and demon hunters (that I can think of).
it seems like maievâs ult is some sort of void magic?
also, she looks great

Dark blue does not void make. Itâs just a more detailed version of what the avatar used to look like. Iâm way more reminded of a starry night sky than anything anyway.
Tyrande looks like tyrande I dont see whats generic about that
I agree, but the simple fact that they backed down from a simple modernization also brings up doubts behind the scenes.
Also Maiev:
Maiev is so pretty omg
Nelf Archer had too much armor smh. They kept the Grunt in their original gear, why not the Archer?
Apart from the fact that they kept the new hair dye. Her hair was originally light blue, but they changed it to mint around Cata/MoP because âWe thought it looked betterâ.
Thatâs confusing to me. They dressed up the archer by a good bit, but dressed down the huntress significantly.
Because women showing too much skin is still taboo. Especially when you are pandering for foreign markets.
Because they wanted the two iconic night elf units to match their armor types. Archers have medium armor, huntresses are unarmored. They just switched what they would look like to be more fitting with armor type, something they didnât do with grunts because there was no other unit to change armor type with.
What part of âThe huntress is skimpyâ did you miss?
Do Orcs and Tauren have like super tough skin? Is that why theyâre practically naked, but have the heavy armor stat?
They do, but it doesnât seem to play into the armor classing since Shamans (orcs) and Spirit Walkers (tauren) are still classified as unarmored.
Spirit Walkers specifically benefit from the âResistant Skinâ ability, allowing them to resist most magic effects.
Mostly gameplay ruled decisions, I would bet.
The Huntresses have a giant shield and are more armored than grunts and archers, yet still ended up with the unarmored armor type.
Iâd guess it is to balance things, rather than some secret, obscure lore about orcs having armored skin.
I had no plans on playing this game but after seeing these Night Elf models Iâm in. I think Tyrande does like a bit plan but still beautiful, although I want her blue hair color back.
Maievâs model is outstanding! And so are the other Wardens. Those high poney tails! The druids are great too as are the ancients. I think that the NE females in wow are prettier but I like the sort of scowl they have in these models.
Weâve even got female dh and satyrs too. Ate they changing the lore a bit?
Iâm also ok with the Archers and Huntresses having a bit more clothing. They are warriors and need to protect vulnerable body partyâs. I thought it was unnecessary skimpy in WoW too for both the men and women. I do think that the archer armor color scheme is a bit off. The white accents should be a darker color and the pants remind of that horrible leather Darkshore armor. It should have been the aesthetic of the classic skimpy verson but with more leg and torso coverage. And some males too, that is if that are changing the lore.
Who ever is in charge of this needs to redo our wow characters because this is so much better than anything we have in game. This team needs to design or heritage armor. I want that druid of the talon armor too, at least the wings anyway.
