Water Strider

it’s not about being 'special".

Speaking as someone who did the “strider grind” in MoP and paid the gold for it, I’m all for more folks having access to water walking.
The Angler’s rep grind is also still there, but “oh noes I have to put in time and effort!”.

The strider should have been treated exactly like the sky golem (keep its innate ability, unable to use equipment), AND the mount equipment should be per-mount.

Once again, +1 to that.

You have your answer then.

Though I don’t understand why giving up my 4 wheel drive in some of my cars is the price attached to speed on my non 4 wheel drive cars.

It’s like saying from now on you only get milk. Or juice. Butt you can’t have both in the house at the same time.

Why the heck not? Who makes up this nonsense thinking it’s a good idea?

Wow,You mean those that have the strider were considered special? Well,if that were so ,I’ll continue to use it coming up.

Then there would be no reason to ever use the new WW boots. The degree to which your argument is unrealistic is staggering.

Good example, missing the part where previously you only had access to milk, now you can choose between milk and juice, sure you can only choose one, but it’s still better than when you could only have milk.

Never said I was special anywhere or ever. But all the rewards need to be able to bought for gold, with or without the rep or honor, you can’t let one person have something and not give everyone the chance to get it. It’s only fair. You would not want to treat some one special now would you.

Sure, one perk being made available for everyone with the introduction of a new system is the exact same thing as making all achievements, gear, mounts, and everything in the game purchasable with gold.

ugh :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:
Except for the part where my 50+ characters BELOW level 100 have to PAY FOR THE EQUIPMENT to have WWing that I ALREADY put the grind in to have.

This really ISNT that flippin hard to comprehend

The sky golem is an exception because its ability is unique and being left out of the mount equipment options. So for the same exception to be made for the water strider, water walking would also have to be left out of the mount equipment options. Nuts to that!

You’re about to get flying and you’re worried about walking on water?

I don’t get this complaint at all. The regular equipment for mounts is useless as well with flying on the horizon. It’ll be useful for a whole week or two.

And why would that be a problem since most of you dont like the flipping striders look to begin with?
so its exempted and only has WWing and cant use gear…that wouldnt harm AnYONE but it would make it so I am not being ripped off by having to PAY FOR 50+ characters to have WWing that they had just 24 hours earlier for the two grinds I did to get it.

Good I hope so,that is if the Blizzard lords want it that way.Let buy every mount without rep grind ,since it is worthless time sink in the end.

You got 50+ characters??, wow!

I guess in your specific situation you have a point, even though I believe it’s a minor amount of gold it sucks that you have to pay for it when you didn’t had to before.

In your case I think can understand it.

uh…yeah…ASSUMING WE ALL were interested in running the PF gauntlet, then you might have a point.
I dont…i wont…ever have PF…so yeah…its a big deal.

If it can be done for one thing, it should be done for everything . What makes water walking so special, what makes honor mounts so special, what make achievements so special that everyone should not have them. Fair is fair, if you are letting people buy one thing for gold it all needs to be done. so no one is treated special in any way. everyone should be equal. So yeah for mount equipment they are finally leveling the playing field, now the rest of the stuff needs to be done to level the playing field everywhere.

That’s my point. If they left water walking out of the mount equipment we’d all still be stuck with the ugly bug.

You get a free one for each character. Just equip it and never change.

Pretty sure you don’t feel that way and you are again overreacting, but let’s give it the benefit of the doubt and say you do…

I guess if you feel that way we will just have to agree to disagree then. I don’t think those things are even in the same league with one completely ruining the game and every progression system there is and one just adding a new system that overlaps with one (not even that important) perk in the game.

This is actually the most anti-RPG statement I’ve ever read. Homogenization and equality are the bane of a good RPG experience. Working towards things is the whole point. Being given things because jo and jane have it as well goes against the entire philosophy of earned experience and rewards.

It’s not even that hard. Takes a few weeks of casually doing emissaries, a little exploring, and 90% of it is done. Arguably the hardest part is completing the story-mode as there’s no short cut to it.

Why even play the game if your argument is playing the game is too much to bother?

One per account not character. You’ll have to buy your alts theirs.
