The reason they made mount equipment was so people didn’t have to get the stupid water walking mount and use it all the time.

The only people that ‘had to use it all the time’ were the ones too dumb to realize that [Summon Random Favorite Mount] worked just fine for picking a water strider or something else depending on where you were.

Sky golem isn’t a reputation mount, not the same category. Professions mounts do have more utilitites> Water strider was the only reputation ground mount that have more functions than the other rep ground mounts.
You literally get water walking mount equipment mailed to you for free, why are people still crying?
Except you’re not being forthright. You forgot to add that they tuned up the dismount mechanic to encourage you to use the anti-dismount equipment, AND all of your alts below 100 lose the ability.

Yeah, and if you ground out Nat Pagle rep only to get bug stuck one point away from best friend to get the crimson mount like me, I get no equipment, and Draenor Nat Pagle doesn’t sell the gear.
Because tears are the only thing water striders can walk on without crutches now.

Found out ww potion doesn’t work with flasks any more.
An “elixir” wouldn’t work with a newer flask anyway.
So stupid to bottle a buff that’s dispelled on one hit into a flask whose benefit is supposed to survive death.

The most depressing feeling was pulling out the Water Strider yesterday, and watching it sink below the water.
I worked hard for it and now it’s useless. It should be completely exempt from Mount Equipment and just do what we worked hard for it to do.

How is it useless? Put the Water Walking Mount Equipment on and continue using the strider… I don’t get why people are upset… I grinded the water strider back in MoP, then I grinded the crimson water strider in WoD. I too have done the insane grind to get it but I am just happy I can now use any of my amazing 400+ mounts with water walking, that beats the HECK out of one mount with WW.
Are you still having problems? Make sure you aren’t swimming when you mount if your default is a large mount.
Do you see the water walking buff show up when you mount? If not, and you see the item in the Mount equipment shot, I would bug report it.

Because it’s incompatible with speed equipment, or no daze equipment which the new zones will make many choose out of frustration.
So instead of having water walking when we need or want it, by choosing a mount, we have to have it all the time on all regular ground mounts, or none of the time on any mounts. That’s just stupid.
