they didn’t announce the nerf to daze-protection from absorbs until we saw it and called them on it.

I’m not expecting any announcment, we’ll just wake up and find on the PTR support for gliders or whatever was ‘forgotten’ and Blizzard will be silent until it blows up in their faces on wowhead.

And then they’ll make some slight concession but gliders will more or less be history at that point.

Sure thing. You shouldn’t complain about what ifs, unannounced changes, or imaginary issues.

If they announce a change you don’t like, let blizzard know.

If you’re just looking to be upset about things that aren’t happening, you should stop and save yourself the energy and grief.

I was asking questions earlier in good faith, looking to clarify the issue. I’ve even admitted my mistake and that I didn’t understand exactly how it worked.

It’s clear what your purpose is here. You had multiple people tell you in simple terms what you were asking but instead of reading not only the topic, or the responses, you are doing damage control. If you enter into a topic that you are too lazy to read, and ask questions you are too lazy to read the answers to your questions, as well as being too lazy to just go read the notes of the patch, then you aren’t privileged to someone holding your hand.

Theyre not ignorant. Theyve been told 1000 times just like blizzard fully understands the complaints.
They want to pretend not to get it so they can keep propping blizzard idiot changes up and not have to admit both faulty reasoning and condoning ill behavior on Blizzards part.

heh…works for me.
I aint buying any more trash expansions so I wont need to worry about it.
I just deleted over 20 characters who didnt have flight so now the trash can water striders WWing isnt relevant either.
All this strider childishness has done is removed one more part of the game I was having fun at…leveling up NEW characters thru classic. That WWing was making travel much quicker, either crossing big lakes and such…or walking down streams where I could avoid being harassed by their tons-0-trash they call a ‘challenge’.
Wonder how long it’ll take them to push me over to ESO permanently?

Seriously. It’s getting old af now. If they want to support them, fine but don’t come in here playing dumb and attempting to gaslight just to minimize and discredit what are legitimate complaints.

They want to pretend like Blizzard doesn’t have a long history of saying one thing yet doing another. As well as setting up systems to prune the game. The, “fun detected, fun removed” meme has a very solid foundation.

Any fool could see why the gliders, bardings, and hoofplates are going to be locked in the future due to those from Legion being locked to those zones AND the new system they just put in place that will inevitably replace them.

If they spent as much time being genuine and putting effort into the game as they do subverting complaints and defending poor decisions, maybe they wouldn’t be so highly despised and mocked.

So to review mount water walking:

grind anglers rep and pay gold for a water walking mount that works account wide.

do the prereqs to get Nat Pagle to your garriosn, grind that rep and fish up 100 coins to buy that mount. Which also worked account-wide.

All the while having the mounts be buggy for years and sometimes a PITA.

in return we get ONE piece of equipment that only works on one character it is used on?

Really? refund the coins from purchasing the garrison mount at the very least, or better yet make the items work account-wide.

I couldn’t stop laughing at the one comment here that we all pay the same sub cost so it should be equal for all. It’s our faults for grinding to get them.

I want all mounts and pets that others have worked for, in many cases for a long time. i pay the same $15 a month, it’s my right. :stuck_out_tongue:

Absolutely agreed!
I almost think theyre getting kickbacks from Blizzard to defend this nonsense.
NO ONE could be this flipping naive as to SEE the crap blizzard continues to pull on a monthly basis (master loot removed, etc) and think that every little step they take to REMOVE MORE CRAP isnt going to take us even further down that road.
They’ll get it when THEY are affected directly.
And at that point, sadly, I’ll only be able to laugh in their faces without any sense of loss as to what else was just removed.

yeah…you and that sentiment arent at all why people are leaving this game in droves…not one whit… :roll_eyes:
It’ll be funny…entertaining…when that attitude has ticked off enough players that they do take their gaming $$$ elsewhere and you get to stare at a non functioning log in screen.

yeah…if I had that attitude I think I know of a few mounts Ive seen around that others did the grind for but I havent, but I want them NOW free of charge.

Let’s summarize what’s going on

I was wrong, and didn’t understand the mechanics of the system.

Now that I do, i agree with you that the system is kind of stupid, for a few reasons.

In addition to agreeing that the system is dumb, I’m not willing to jump on the bandwagon to complain about removing gliders, which was never announced. Someone earlier even pointed out some changes to the artwork for gliders that are being implemented, so it seems they aren’t going anywhere.

If you want to continue to fantasize that I’m up to some devious no good tricks, that’s on you.

Honestly, I don’t mind the addition of mount equipment OR having my strider’s ww ability taken away. What I DO have a problem with is the angler’s item only being mailed to level 100+ characters. Which means I have to buy a 40g item for all my level 20-100 alts and then individually mail it out to each character and log on to that character to get the mail and equip it in my mount slot.

They should make the angler’s ww boots an heirloom/toy that I can create on my alts. This would still give those that farmed for the strider mount an accessibility reward over those that choose to buy ww boots off the ah or make them for themselves and might give incentive for altoholics who still don’t have angler’s rep to farm it out.

I was kinda happy for the changes. Thinking it meant i could just grab water walking and use my favorite mounts. Until i realized because of alts i now have to spend gold to have water walking on them.
This change is stupid and the person that came up with this idea and the one that approved it should feel bad about the fact they are terrible people. They are willfully jerks/ toddlers going fun detected mode, corporate hacks trying to increase time played metrics, or so woefully inept at looking into game impact that they don’t deserve their job.
