Water Strider

  1. keep up. It doesn’t work that way. This thread just got done explaining again how it’s not ‘per mount’.

  2. That limits me to the sky golem / lumber extractor which are big, bulky, can’t fly straight and don’t fit through doors. Good for herbing, not much else.

  3. I shouldn’t have enumerated. 2 was enough, but I’m not going back to change it.

Have they announced removing goblin gliders? I’d rather not get upset about “what - ifs”, and stick to things that are actually happening.

You probably don’t need No-Daze as a melee class you almost certainly already have azerite gear that gives you ‘Resounding Protection’ which isn’t as good as tank or full no-daze equipment, but it’s more than good enough for most uses.

You’ll end up wanting the speed equipment, it’ll be Best in Slot for you.

Aren’t you paying attention? Nothing is safe from the mighty pruning shears of Ion.

You could always just put saddlechute on your mount. Parchutes from lethal fall damage automatically. Falling into water and dying is no longer an issue.

You can’t have both a saddle-chute and water walking equipment equipped AT THE SAME TIME.

Ok well, I’m with you guys on the “per character” system being stupid, but I’m not going to join in on the what-if complaint bandwagon

Ò.Ó

Why keep goblin gliders when the mount equipment system will include their version of it?

The biggest modes of getting around their terrain have been gliders, barding, speed, and the strider. These things are what the equipment will cover now. The strider has been nerfed at this point. Just… think. Deduce.

not with that attitude you cant

not with any attitude. One slot, character wide. You get your choice of one and only one:

Speed
safe-fall
water walking
no-daze

If you want more than that, you use consumables or toys.

You can only have one mount equipment at a time. Are we supposed to change them every time we do something different?

Parachutes do not allow directional control of your character

Gliders allow directional control

They are not the same thing. I’m not going to worry about losing gliders unless they announce something.

Yep. and add on top of it that you can’t carry more than one of each item at a time. So switching will require you to run back and forth to vendors and/or auction house for every switch back.

but you didn’t try with another attitude yet, that’s why. When your calmer another tab opens up for 2 more slots.

Clearly not the intent as designed. Seems you’re supposed to pick “Best fit” for your class and stick with it, using consumables for everything else.

SPEED for everyone but DK/Pally/Mag’har is Best in Slot
Safe-fall for DK because they have everything else
No-Daze for people without ‘resounding protection gear’
Water Walking is ONLY Best in Slot for Paladins, because they have the rest naturally.

AGAIN. That is the point. It prevents the bypassing of their terrain. Just like their delay of flying.

At this point, I can’t take you seriously. Moving on.

If only that were the case. Does it work for deleted portals too?

Didn’t seem to help make getting around Dazor’alor any better back when I had a ‘this is great’ attitude.

Certainly didn’t help with tortollan WQ’s which, TBH, is where my attitude went completely off the rails this expansion.

Nah man, you’re just looking for something else to complain about.

If they didn’t announce the removal of gliders you shouldn’t waste any energy on it.

gliders are safe for now, they just got an faction-related ‘art upgrade’ apparently.

But when 9.0 rolls around? Who knows. Maybe Blizzard will think that they’ve provided enough alternatives to gliders to make them incompatible with ‘void space’ or wherever we go next.

if there is a next.

Wait all your portals didn’t come back? Dude I’ll invite you to my shard some time, all mine are back, just in the catacombs of the cathedral district…sleeeeeping…forever…

IM NOT CRYING…YOU ARE!
