Water Strider

So according to your logic, the water strides water walking should only be available for MoP content…

What are you talking about.

Before:
-use favorite mount on land
-switch to strider when need to cross water

Now:
-use favorite mount on land
-switch to mount with water walking when need to cross water (can be strider)

It seems really straight forward to me. I really do not understand why people are all up in a tizzy over this.

You don’t get to pick and choose. All mounts have the same trait.

When you talk to blizzard about this could you also tell them to apply this to the super rare mounts as well? Why should we have to keep farming Ashes and Invincible!

It’s kind of like Starbucks ending their buy 15 and get one free program right when you get to #14. They can do it, but it doesn’t help customer relations/loyalty.

That’s not how it works.

then you need to learn to READ before speaking, apparently.
SOME of us have MORE than ONE character and they are way below 100 and aint getting that FREE equipment.
We’re being ripped off for the work we did and having what we EARNED SOLD BACK to us.
Get it yet?

Is the equipment not on a “per mount” basis?

It’s possible that I’m not understanding how the system works.

Do you not equip a water walking item to a mount so that mount can walk on water?

I said gear should be able to be used in that content, legendaries can be used after all. And all mounts, pets, toys, need to be available to purchase for gold so no one is treated special and every one can get them.

per character.
So I now have to PAY for something I already worked for twice on characters below level 100.

It is character wide. That’s one of the main complaints if you would have read the topic.

Just to retain what we already had, we are locked into an inferior character wide system that means we:

  1. Use WW equipment while losing the other options
  2. Use the other equipment and lose the WW we had
  3. Run back and forth to vendors or auction house to sink our time and gold into switching.

I agree, all mounts that were available during that expansion needs to be put on a vendor and let people buy them with gold. The precedent has been set everyone needs to be treated equal.

So if you choose to equip water walking on a character, all mounts for that character will have water walking?

Yes. I also suspect that it will only be for 120 and below, the next xpac and the new item will be gated to that pathfinder.

Trolling I see

At least someone made an effort this time, minimal as it is. Unlike the silence that surrounds why our flying mounts can’t figure out how to fly on a new island on the same planet every 2 years.

Exactly - they should have given us a token for ALL alts that we have established, regardless of level.

Have you ever died on your way to the first boss in Neltharion’s Lair because the DK in your dungeon group though it’d be funny to cast “Path of Frost” before you jumped down the waterfall at the start?

I don’t WANT water walking on >>ALL<< the time on EVERY mount.

I want it only when I need it. This change is stupid.

I’m not trolling, I’m asking a question because I’ve admitted that I might not have understood the topic at hand.

I was under the impression that mount equipment was on a “per mount” basis, and apparently that isn’t the case.

The system should be on a per mount basis, in my opinion.

I’ve looked it up now on wowhead, and I dont really care for the anti daze or the parachute, so I’ll probably pick water walking since to me it seems the strongest option.

Besides, I would just use a glider when jumping off a cliff and then re-mount once I landed, making a parachute option unnecessary.

So why not get on a mount you didn’t equip water walking with?

You keep missing the whole point of the discussions. Those things will become history very soon. WHy would they keep them when they want people using this equipment system? They are going to have professions crafting some of the new equipment.
