Is there a way to put different equipment on different mounts. My blacksmith made waterwalking equipment and my leatherworker made none daze equipment, but if I load one it goes on all mounts. I would rather have it just be one mount so I can use both by selecting different mounts. Or rather, have all them water walk, but change one specific mount to have the daze protection. It would be expensive to need to attach equipment separately to every mount.
Canât do that, water walking on one mount is way too OP, all mounts must have it or none.

Iâm curious, did blizzard give up on this system?
Seems like it had potential, I just wish they would let me outfit my different mounts, rather than one item for all, that seemed silly.
Make it so I can equip different things onto my mount, and different mounts can have different things, for example.
Back - Satchel or Saddle (Satchel for storing herbs/ore/leather, or Saddle for never getting dazed.)
Head - Carrot on a stick, or Spike (Carrot = Faster mount speed, Spike = ramming damage)
Feet - Water Walking, Herb gathering, Vein gathering (Self explanatory)
Rear - Fishing Net, Corpse Wagon, or Extra seat (Fishing net for when you are walking on water you can drag a net behind you and gather any fish/items you find on the way across, Corpse Wagon for when you are a leather worker and donât want to leave anything behind, and allows you to mass skin, Extra seat for making your mount multi person)

They never cared about it in the first place. Itâs sole purpose was to rid the game of water walking on mounts. Shadowlands will see the whole system scraped because lack of use and they always do away with systems from past expansion when new ones start. So will will lose everything just like they wanted when shadowlands starts. If that does not happen then the equipment will be tied to pathfinder so will will not have water walking until itâs all but useless.

The current dev team utterly failed at they game they were working on, which had to be ditched, and then took over from the team who so brilliantly created MoP.
Out of jealousy and spite they have since worked on destroying whatever they could get away with which the MoP team had created. Finding a way to remove water walking from the striders was just part of that.
They probably also hoped weâd all swap expensive mount equipment around so often, (swapping destroys it,) weâd buy lots of tokens to pay for replacements.

This is no longer a real issue, the horse isnât just dead, we had the funeral, moved on, and have new fights to do.
If you hate it that much, just buy the shoes off the AH - takes like 30 seconds tops.

Mine has not. See, although alternatives may exist, when something is removed, we HAVE lost something. You know the Glaives thing, where only DHâs could equip Illidanâs old glaives? I didnât give a damn about that, but i had sympathy for those that did, and i didnât run them down for wanting things to be different. It took guts and brains for that first glider flight in a raid, or dungeon, hell, iâve used them in battlegrounds. being punished for thinking outside the box sucks. Having ones peers make light of your loss also sucks.
I am still very angry.

I think perhaps what we are seeing with the mount equipment being such a shadow of its potential is one of the aftereffects of that loss of some of the QA team.
Over and over, options were suggested that would make mount equipment much closer to what we thought we were getting, which was making other mode mounts relevant again by giving them useful, customizable attributes.
What we got was a very limited function cover for breaking waterstride. For a seaside/island landmass expansion, where such a trait is particularly useful.
A better way to get us to stop using waterwalk that would NOT have pissed so many people off or made nonsensical things like unwaterstriding waterstriders and waterstriding mammoths, would have been a huge Northrend size continent or air island.
Waterstrider should be inherently a waterstrider regardless of equipped stuff.
New waterstride is terrible. Any character I use that on effectively becomes a dk with perma path of frost on, without FX to indicate it. And then itâs an extremely unpredictable and unstable invisible path of frost. It needs to work better and it needs FX, or equipment needs to be on a mount family basis.

Itâs not like there is much else to do right now. And no, it is not 6k posts of people whining. There is a well thought out discussion about why some of us are against removing water walking from the striders.

Thing about the water strider is everyone has a different opinion. I was upset when they took itâs water walking away. I worked hard in mop for the reputation to earn the water strider with innate water walking. It was a reward for farming reputation. When they took that away they took a reward from reputation away. See they ram reputation down our throat every expansion You have to farm rep for this , you have to far rep for that. And then they turn around and remove a reward for farming the rep just like that want us to. What reward is next?
I had hundreds of mounts that sink when they hit water, I farmed the rep for the water strider because it walked on water. Not because I needed another sinking mount. And they took that away from me. If they are going to keep making reputation such a big part of this game they need to STOP taking the rewards away we earn for getting the rep.

Still not the point. When Blizzard seen that they can take things away and the player base will not stick together they start taking more away. bye bye flying for a year every expac. Bye Bye master loot, bye bye portals. Whats next?
