They did… DHs have my meta… blizzard will do what blizzard does… i have bigger issues to be tackling in my life.
And I agree with you there. And I complained about it. But Blizzard knows not enough will care so it’s gone. And I will always hate DH’s because of this.

So what??? I HAD a mount for water-walking.
why would i EVER use the mount equip. slot for that ability?
I’d much rather use it for anti-stun or a parachute, although both of those fail-safes i already have covered with Bardings and Gliders.
Equipping the Strider with boots is NOT the same. There was more to the Strider than just water-walking.
And how well does it work out, jumping a mount wearing the boots off a cliff, into the water? Maybe more like onto the water? HARD water?

Shrug this off. The Strider could be ridden off a cliff onto dry land and just bounce. No damage. I haven’t tried it lately, but i kinda doubt it works any more.

They didnt remove the skygolems ability…they COULD have left the striders alone and still allowed for WWing on everything else with equipment.
They chose instead…as they always do…to pee off a bunch of players needlessly…pointlessly.

whats next? Exactly what Ive said in here and the wife and I talk about…removing flight entirely after theyve worn down the player base with increasingly annoying pathfinders.

I think I’m operating from my rocker on the front porch, here - ie feeling like an oldster - I didn’t know you COULD in-game mail things to other unconnected servers/cross faction!? Gah! Thank you. I’ll try this and see. 
Some folks think it’s a cute bug - very much a side issue, I know, but just had to put my 2 coppers in for the cute formerly-waterwalking lil bug. ;p

Same here. It’s ability to water-walk, that was the whole point to earning a Water Strider.

Ive figured blizzard out though…with all this crap they pull like this.
Dont work for anything. Dont intentionally grind ANYTHING they can just take away…and certainly do not spend real world $$$ buying it.

Update on Mount Equipment From SL PTR:
Character needs to be level 40 to use mount equipment
This is the same level as Master Riding - fast flying
And people said they wouldn’t do this…

So basically they nerfed Water Strider to control what levels can use its effect. Can’t say I didn’t see that coming.

Minor correction:
You need to be level 40 to unlock the Mount Equipment feature for your first character. (level 100 on retail)
Once unlocked, alts need to be level 10 to use Mount Equipment. (level 20 on retail)
EDIT: Upon further investigation, the account-wide unlock seems to be bugged despite the equipment being configured for level 10. Folks should report it as such instead of doomsaying.
