Ok,let me put it in simple terms.You enjoy this mount system blizzard wants.Do you accept the design responsibility for say the design when it was proposed in the forum earlier.
I donât recall whatever âforum proposalâ youâre talking about, sorry. Iâm in favor of the new system coming in, and the waterbug being retired. It canât be said much simpler than that.
Surely,you must have read the forums .You been here long enough in general discussion to realize this.Or are you hiding something.Curiosity is teaser for the insightful.
With recent change (buff) of dazed annoying debuff, blizzard should just scrap mount equipment system and revert water strider changes.
Other option would be to have mount equipment on per mount basis, so you can have different equipment for different mounts to use them in different situations.
Stop removing QoL from the game.

If there was a chance to stop this trainwreck, it was before they started implementing it.
Now that theyâve invested effort into it, their ego wonât let them unwind the damage theyâre about to cause.
But whatever, maybe if they finally notice they number of cancelled accounts leading up to and following the release of 8.2 theyâll take the hint and bang it with a hammer a few times to make it less egregious.
They certainly wonât be reverting it at this late stage of development.

Calm down, Hairflippy McGee, it was just a side observation, not a primary reason to remove it. Itâs is why as soon as Iâm back on land, I dismiss it and hop on the regular ground mount, though.
Itâs not nearly as bad as the swaying motion of the sky golem though, I simply cannot use that think while flying, feels like Iâm going to hurl.

So is most everyone else in this thread. Iâve seen very few people say that the new system was bad or shouldnât be implemented. Iâve seen no one actually ask for the system to not be implemented. Of course, I may have missed it, there are some 5000+ posts in this thread alone on the subject and this is the only thread Iâve paid close attention to.
My question isâŚ
Why canât the new system and the âwater bugâ co-exist? Why does it need to be âretiredâ? Every other âspecial functionâ mount is retaining itâs original functionality.
Do you want the âwater bugâ retired because you donât like using it? And, if so, why? You wonât have to use it with the new equipment system in place.
Why canât we get the new mount equipment and have the Strider(s) work like all of the other âspecial functionâ mounts? Why canât they all keep their original functionality and simply not be effected by the equipment slot?
Literally every other âspecial functionâ mount will work this way under the new system. Why not the âwater bugâ too?
Why do you feel it necessary to ruin what I enjoy in order to implement the new system?

Logic doesnât work on the emotional. They emotionally want the water strider gone (including Ion - because eveyone uses it isnt logical).
Logic would allow both to exist.
Emotionally disliking something is the only reason to make it go away.

I agree with this. Doesnât look like a fun new system now. I hope they scrap it and rework it as a new expansion feature and actually listen to the feedback its getting now. This is dampening my enthusiasm for 8.2.

If you mean him saying heâs afraid of spiders, I saw that. But that doesnât actually answer my question to him.
Unless they changed it, even though it is in the toybox now, you have, or had to have the required rep on all characters to use the anglers raft. Have not tried to use it in quite awhile, so have no idea if itâs changed.
No itâs changed. The raft can now be used account wide regardless of rep. I just used it on my new 120 Druid who has zero anglers rep. Not sure when they changed it.
