“having the ability to re-enable water walking after adjusting for new nuisances consumes precious bag space” - fact, not opinion.

None of these are actually facts, they are your now-rote displeasures with some aspects of how mounts work. It doesn’t make the new system bad.

They want you to drop that $20 in the cash shop for that precious little token lol. It’s the only way they can get their mount equipment gimmick to work. Outside of this forum I have never once heard anyone say the water strider is op, or there are way to many people using it. The blizz can do wrong crowd will believe anything these devs will feed them lol. Ion, or one of the other ones say the water strider mount is the only mount being used now, so it must be true lol.

I tried all those things out on the PTR. They are indeed facts

I love my bug’s skittering sound! It is very unique and it’s special is fantastic!

Nothing better than going out into the middle of the ocean and using the special so you can see everything better! Or using the special at other people on the bug!

Except I didn’t say “bad”, I said “inferior”. Not the same thing. One is absolute judgement the other a relative comparison.

You like the new system because you value cosmetic benefits over functionality. Great for you. You could have been using water walking potions this whole time, but, I guess your cosmetic preference wasn’t strong enough to make you do that.

I like the old system for utilitarian/functional reasons which are being compromised by this change. Fact. Not an opinion. You can test them yourself and see that the things I’ve said are true, if you were unbiased enough to actually bother.

and I’ve never heard an actual spider make a sound anything like the water striders, and I live in the southwest, we got lots here … get over yourself.

Angler’s Fishing Raft has been a thing for six years. Three dailies and three quickly caught fish to turn in per day and it’s yours in a week.

You can test them yourself and see that the things I’ve said are true, if you were unbiased enough to actually bother.

These are opinions. Someone’s getting a little worked up over others not agreeing with their opinions, and confusing opinions with facts. That’s a shame.

Usage of which is not account bound… I honestly don’t know what the requirement is for it, but I know I can’t use the Angler’s Raft toy on most of my alts.

The raft is a good alternate, but it does require MoP fishing which can’t be learned til lv 78.

Give alchemy a better water walking elixir/potion/flask that doesn’t conflict with the guardian elixirs.

I can just see the sadists in the development lounge cackling their heads off at that. “Make it an ELIXIR which survives death! But only if they don’t take any damage while dying! AHAHHAHAHAHAH!”

These things are being tested on the PTR and the things stated are how the equipment “acts”, which is significantly inferior to the way the Striders currently work.

That’s not opinion. It could be a bug, pun not intended, but Blizz isn’t really very good at fixing those before they go live so what is on PTR is what we will see on Live.

That is FACT, no matter how you want to spin it.

And you might want to look into the meaning of the phrase “worked up”. No one here is asking you to agree with their opinions. We are simply stating out distaste of a change coming to the game and giving valid reasons for not liking the change. No one, you or anyone else, has to agree with those of us who feel that way.

But disagreeing doesn’t give you free reign to come here and be a jerk. You can say why you like the change all day long. Please do so. And let us know why. We won’t agree with you, but I would venture to bet that most of us would respect your opinion for what it is.

All we ask is that you give us the same in return and stop being a jerk.
