Asking me why Blizzard doesn’t focus on other issues is a Blizzard question. I don’t have that answer because I’m not a Blizzard employee. But as I said, more important issues out there than your cockroach mount.
…and yet you never seem to be able to say what these issues are.
So basically, you bring up a subject, claim its valid. Then, when asked for validation, you just say ‘oh that’s someone else’s issue, go ask them.’’.
Now try again, dear, and answer the question i.e., what issues?
And do try to be polite this time; this forum does have rules.
Settles to enjoy his wonderful breakfast
I already mentioned some earlier in this thread ‘dear’. So while you eat your breakfast why don’t you read through it a bit since I’ve been posting in this thread for weeks and I’m not going to repeat everything because you demand that I answer you, instead of reading through earlier posts.
Sunfires your breakfast before you can eat it. oops
I did; hence my responses.
and be careful; people will think we’re married!
Shudders
Hehe I know it is funny. But seriously it was the same dev team who did all of those over turned mistakes. I have a blind delusional overmedicated hope that they can learn from them. (tear’s well up) Let me have my delusional hope! A void elf can dream!! The voices tell me I’m allowed to!
In case you were unaware… “casual” is a curse word in these here forums.
I also didn’t say that you called me names, per se, but you did infer from something that I was “casual” with no real knowledge of how I play the game. I suppose “casual” means “less raid progression than me” to you? I really don’t know, and frankly don’t care.
No one said there weren’t larger issues in the game. But the fact that there are larger issues doesn’t actually negate the fact that there are small issues in the game also. And for many players, changes such as this are large issues.
Everyone doesn’t care about class balance in raids that revolves around class/spec stacking by “world first” raid teams. Everyone doesn’t care what class is OP in PvP currently or that some healer is OP or that some classes can’t get invited into Mythic +.
Large to you may or may not be large to me. Small to you may or may not be small to me. And I can actually have an opinion of my own without name calling (regardless of how “small” the name may be) and discuss issues you may consider small.
You’re here, in this thread, telling us all how unimportant our issue is so it must mean something to you. You’re also the one who seems oddly irritated by the fact that some find this to be an issue at all… so much so that you continue to become more and more irritated with each and every post.
We are giving feedback on something that is important to us. If you don’t find this to be an important issue, the door out of this forum thread is right here . Don’t let it hit ya where the Good Lord split ya on your way out! .
Have a fabulous day!! Much .
I agree, since all that rep.we did grind whine up worthless in the eyes of those with thoughts of changing every aspect of value to a player.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whataboutism
Oh? Did they change it then? (I don’t do the PTR.) I remember when they said we would get one piece on our main and then could buy more for our other characters at a discount.
This still doesn’t change the fact that it’s a consumable and will have to be purchased anew if we use any of the other equipment. Unless Blizz changed that part, too. (fingers crossed)
Casual is not a ‘curse word’ to me. If you see it another way, then that’s on you.
This is a forum, a place for discussion. When there is a topic, there will be people who don’t agree with the subject, someones thoughts, and provides other insight/point of view- thus creating a discussion. A topic is not only open to those who agree with every single point on it- so I don’t have to leave the topic if I don’t want to, I’m fine right where I am thanks.
And honestly, the reason why its irritating is because whenever I offered a different perspective on this topic, I would get attacked by you and 4 other people all at once because I guess you think forum topics are like little clubs where only those who are interested and agree with the terms are allowed… look back at your posts you’ll find the aggressor.
I haven’t read all your posts, but the vast majority I have read have been condescending with a side of insulting. Did it occur to you that it’s your tone and not your perspective that’s causing the dog piles?
I swear I read something about the 1 per char, that it’d be like how the Safari Hat worked before it beame a Toy, but cannot find it now.
As for the cost, last I read it was a consumable, at for at least the WW item, it was only a 50g purchase from the Anglers. There will also be profession-source options.
Did it occur to you that being continuously attacked for having an alternate perspective was the reason why some of my posts became condescending? You wouldn’t, since you clearly just stated you haven’t ‘read all posts’.
From your first post in this thread:
So you would rather be forced to use ‘an ugly bug’ constantly, as opposed to having some variety… makes sense.
Condescending.
Second post:
Even if Blizzard gave all of your characters the damn shoes for FREE, everyone here would still be QQ’ing because thats what WoW players do best.
Condescending and insulting.
Third post:
QQ more
Yeah. You’ve really just been posting a level-headed “alternate perspective”.
Nice try, but I posted in the original thread back in the middle of April (Titled: Dont Nerf Our Mounts!) before it all transitioned into this one with the same folks. And my first post was:
Edit: I read a blue post about the ability being taken away- but will receive a free fair of water walking shoes. So technically, the ability will still exist but will take up a equipment slot.
Go ahead and check my history. Thanks
And we have to PAY for what we get for FREE now. This is a change that is pointless since at least TWO of the dungeons (If you’re ally) REQUIRE waterwalking for the accepted shortcuts.
There IS NO CHOICE. This is just another gold sink in a game with too many gold sinks and not enough gold comming in, unlike the last few exp where gold was plentiful.

Ptr is no guarantee that live will be the same.
Often they reduce and/or make things easier to get so that we can test without the usual investment of effort that live will require.
All we know from the PTR is that alts below level 100 did not get their pitiful “one free” in the mail, and that WW equipment “as is” is currently inferior to striders in a number of ways that I already explained to you directly.
Go ahead and check my history. Thanks
No, thank you. I limit my responses to posts that are made in the thread I’m reading. Saying the equivalent of, “I wasn’t a jerk in this other thread, so don’t think of me as one now,” isn’t an excuse for poor behavior.
I read a blue post about the ability being taken away- but will receive a free fair of water walking shoes. So technically, the ability will still exist but will take up a equipment slot.
This is accurate. The problem I (and some others) have is twofold:
- The strider’s ability does NOT have to be removed in order to give the effect to other mounts. That is simply a way to limit player choice so that players can only ever have one operative effect. Note: Other special ability mounts are not losing their abilities.
- Currently all my characters have access to a water walking mount at no cost–a perk I earned through a series of quests and rep grinding. Forcing me to use the equipment to make my mount(s) water walk will require me to buy that equipment. Because it’s a consumable, I will have to buy it repeatedly.
There is no acceptable excuse for taking away something players have already earned, and it sets a very bad precedent. Rewards have been removed in the game before–but it was always the removal of the opportunity to earn the reward, not the removal of the actual reward from the players that earned it.
How do you think people would feel if their titles, AotC mounts, etc. were taken away from them? How would you feel if something you worked for in the game were suddenly taken away?
That is exactly why I’m unhappy about the removal of the water strider’s ability. I earned it. I don’t care if every other mount was suddenly awarded the ability to walk on water–in fact, that would be perfectly fine with me, as long as they don’t take away the strider’s ability. But Blizz is removing something I earned, and so I’m pretty darn ticked about it.
Did it occur to you that being continuously attacked for having an alternate perspective was the reason why some of my posts became condescending? You wouldn’t, since you clearly just stated you haven’t ‘read all posts’.
I have. And you clearly came into this topic looking for a fight, and are now complaining because you got one.

And someone replied:
it’s not hard to understand… i know i will still be able to walk on water on any mount, It’s the fact that if i choose water walking i will be dazed and dismounted on land every time you run thru mobs.

If that’s what put you on the warpath, you need to lighten up.
