Its cool if you disagree with me on the merits of the change but you need to accept the anger from the players is not going to go away.

It will go away when the players go away. Blizzard will win their war of attrition against opposition, but be left with a smaller player base. Time will tell how many of these “victories” the game can survive.

• Mount Equip buff lamely breaks on even slight falling damage. Water Strider’s does not.
• MANY mounts (between a third and half) are unable to go from swimming to water walking
• 8.2 will daze & dismount more players than ever in both the new AND the OLD zones

Using your logic, they need to also get rid of the special abilities that the Grand Expedition Yak has.

If I am at a raid, they are all I see…

If I am at a summoning stone at a dungeon, they are all I see…

If I am trying to click on a holiday quest giver, there are always a bunch of them standing on top of the quest giver so no one can turn in their quest.

I quoted you. You calmly and precisely said it would be nice not to see so many “bugs” and that the change can’t come soon enough.
You’ve got a problem with the strider, you don’t want to see so many, and you welcome all the changes.
You don’t get to redefine the word selfish because you don’t like someone pointing out that obvious trait n your direction.
And just for the record, I’m also perfectly calm.

Too be honest if you take a look at the item itself…it’s actually due to “inflatable mount shoes” not magic at all lol.

Most mounts would probably break a leg realistically trying to balance on them in water.

Yes, if they do it for one mount the must do it for all.
Or… as is the case already… if they do NOT do it for one mount - the Herb gatherer - they cannot do it for any.

Then if the bug is OP then so are Shamans, tanks, DK’s and all other classes and specs that have those same abilties.
Singleing out one thing to change with the excuse that it is OP but leaving all the other OP options alone is unfair.

As I am currently unsubbed in protest, I have no 100s to receive the boots. My 20s will lose their waterwalking mount with no recourse. Sure, you can berate me for not playing, but right now, my unsubbed 20s CAN WALK ON WATER. Obviously it’s not something based on activity--------------------------------------yet.

On a side note I think removing the strider is DUMB. Keep strider as is but allow us to give other mounts water walking OR use the other options. But don’t steal strider. So dumb. Not thought out.

I didn’t hear casuals complaining when Blizzard made epic gear rain from the sky. Getting UNIQUE epic gear via raiding or top tier PVP is a thing of the past. Where did that go? Now, I can care less about the tears when your precious little strider mount gets nerfed and hundreds of mounts are able to water walk. Things change- deal with it.
